All between 3/6 NLH PLO to 25/50 NLH PLO, and went busto. This may not be becuse of cheating but would sure love to se it for myself.

The only answer i get is that they are working on it, after my first mail they said that this would take about 2 months. Well i have waited 9 months soon

This site dosnt deserve ppl playing! this is the biggest scandal ever in the online poker world. I would never play there even if i did get my HH`s. DIE UB

Re: Joe Sebok signs sponsorship deal with UltimateBet

Do you think it is overly judgemental to find tobacco execs unsavory?

Im not judging him as a man...but his actions are PURELY motivated by him needing money to prop up his floundering media/gambling career....lets be honest.

That doesnt make him the devil...makes him someone willing to do the devils bidding for a buck.

So what, a lot of people do that in life...its life; you do what you need to do to help your family.

But its nauseating for him to shovel this BS about how he is going to bring UB into the light and shyte....thats BS pure and simple.

Also, THEY PAID THE MONEY BACK. If the guy who stole my money paid me back, I wouldn't think he was a great guy, but I'd be over it.

I totally agree that the aftermath of the scandal was horribly mismanaged, and I hate the damage that was done to the legitimacy of online poker, but are we ever going to forgive them and accept that different people are in charge? This company is not going away, and they seem to be on the up and up at this point. Like honestly, what more do you people want from them? I guess you guys really want the 31 names, but there really are legit reasons for these not have come out yet (and Sebok actually said that he will be pushing for them to be released).

Not to mention all these nvgtards trashing for someone for taking a lucrative financial opportunity that would never be possible for them. It's really easy to get on your high horse and bash someone from behind your keyboard, but what it comes down to is the fact that playing tournament poker for a living is really ****ing hard, not to mention at the same time attempting to swing a flailing business into profitability at the same time. How could any of you (save a very select few) ever know what your decision would be in that scenario when you're getting paid an exorbitant sum of money to wear a ****ing patch?

Also those who say that they won't listen to pokerroad anymore b/c of this are really really silly.

Edit: and I mean, I can't really blame people for not trusting them. That's fine, don't play there, heck encourage other people not to, but to make moral judgements on Joe Sebok in this situation is just really stupid.

Re: Joe Sebok signs sponsorship deal with UltimateBet

On its face, I have to say I was surprised and disappointed by hearing this, but christ, some of you people are overreacting! Yes, screw UB. I'll never play there and I respect those who choose not to. I do not, however, presume to judge people who do. All the vitriol directed at Sebok is a little ridiculous. This is the kind of thing that makes me tired when I'm reading threads. Some who have posted in this thread need to get a little perspective, tune down the self-righteousness, and settle the hell down.

Bash Joe if you want, but he seems like a good, thoughtful guy to me (of course I don't know him personally) and I say congratualations on getting a deal. He's not a villian. Additionally, as others have posted, isn't throwing a tantrum every time UB/AP gets mentioned getting tiresome?

To wrap it up, everyone's welcome to their opinion, and I agree with a lot that's being said, but I advise reserving judgement and making cogent and reasonable points (as some have done) rather than juvenile boos and hisses from the peanut gallery.

But, hey, this is NVG, right? Whaddya gonna do?

Well, first off Paul Leggat the man everyone says is clean as a whistle was the CEO of AP when that site stole millions from it's players. He's either a pretty bad CEO to have that kind of widespread fraud happen on his watch, or worse if he knew it was happening. If there was any transparency at all with regards to either scandal we would have more to base his credibility on.

Second, don't you think it's a little silly of them to ask us to believe that all the bad eggs are gone without telling us who they are or exactly how they could pull it off?

As for the money, how do we know they've paid all the money back? Again, because they said so? Why not release all the hand histories so we can judge for ourselves?

"Hey, we stole money from you but we're giving it back. Were not going to tell you how much, just trust that we are a bunch of good guys and are doing the right thing."

I guess a better analogy would be for that guy to give you back some of what he stole from you and say "I don't know what your talking about dude, that's all there was".

In the latest press release, Leggat says that more accounts were added to the superuser list. If there were more users, why wouldn't there be more refunds?

1. Stop the ridiculous shell game with regards to who owns what.

2. Stop stalling with information.

3. Tell us who did it and how exactly.

4. Release hand histories to anyone who played with the thieves.

5. Tell us what agencies are they reporting this to.

I'm sure there are things I left out others can elaborate.

Well, for Joe it's not exactly just wearing a patch, but I agree with the rest of this.

Re: Joe Sebok signs sponsorship deal with UltimateBet

fwiw seems like the decision may have been influenced by the 'imminent' demise of pokerroad perhaps and therefore the requirement for a backup income stream?

With several of their identities/shows MIA or gone (think tuesday's with ivey, bart hanson, ali nejad, haralabob, all strategy with Daniel & Bonomo, etc) it seems like the business plan that was developed and implemented is started to unravel, and in the recent/current environment, money talks.

Part of me wants to join the haters and boycott pokerroad – but I think this is futile and will only fortify Seebs decision. The other part was me to see them (Seebs + Barry) succeed, as I believe their intentions are in the best interest of poker.

GL Seebs, hope the agreement meets your expectations …

Re: Joe Sebok signs sponsorship deal with UltimateBet

Adam, I'm way too tired to respond to all of that at this point as it's 7am and I haven't slept, but basically I think that the level of transparency that you're demanding from them is unrealistic to expect from a company in such a legal gray area. I do agree that they could be doing alot better job of getting this stuff out quicker though.

Also, Joe said in his blog that the hand histories were in fact released, I haven't really been following this closely enough and didn't really know, but I assumed he was telling the truth. I am not sure what the deal is here, but I am almost certain that they will all be released eventually.

Also I'm pretty sure in that most recent report the KGC released, they pretty much explained how it was done, though not who exactly did it.

Re: Joe Sebok signs sponsorship deal with UltimateBet

Its obvious that UB has deleted all hand history and are hoping for this to blow over. If theres no proof that the cheaters took more than UB payed back for in full, there is a chans for this to blow over.

This is why i think its importent to not help this site in its growth back to the market. And very importent to take seriously in matters like this when somebody in the poker comunity is going to assosiate himself with cheaters and maybe/most likely help them to blow the wind!

I think we (ub players during cheating time) have every right there is to accuse and missbelive everything that could do UB good. The payouts was a scam as well, the way they handled that make me feel that there was no point to pay anything out when they cant back it all up.
