Don't feed us bull**** about knowing that ub has finally cleaned up their act and it's going to be great from here on out. (coincidentally this is always said as someone collects the paycheck)
It's never about the money...it's about joe wanting to turn bad into good, it's about joe's love for the poker community and his pet unicorn and his love for God.

Re: Joe Sebok signs sponsorship deal with UltimateBet

Bottom line is that Sebok sold his reputation for a price. He is garbage. Now he is trying to spin some convoluted justification for wanting to help clean up the company. Memo to Sebok: You are now working for the company that stole millions of dollars from poker players and tried to cover it up !!!

In other news Reverend Al Sharpton stated that he accepted a job with the Ku Klux Klan because he wants to help change and improve the organization.

By the way, Sebok talks so much about "transparency" for UB, so lets start with transparency with Sebok and request that he reveal the details of his sponsorship including dollar amounts.

Even if he gets them to release hh, he is still a sellout. This would have been nice to hear 18months ago.

Everyone should read his entire statement before saying you're abandoning pokerroad, he lays out his intentions and thought process very clearly. I imagine 90% of the thread bashers didn't read his blog.

read 100% of it and it is still very apparent he did this for money and no other reason.

Have the HHs been released? I wish somebody could answer this one way or the other.

I read the blog. It reads entirely like a UB publicity release, and possibly contains a blatant lie. He seems to think most people are aware that the HHs have been released. I am not aware of this being true, and would welcome confirmation one way or the other.

I wonder if he consulted with Rizen and found out why he left UB. When considering his decision he should hear from others besides company shills.

I need to know if we're using Sebok or regular math here.

Ooda- I've never heard of a single hand history being reported as received. If that changed overnight we'll find out soon I guess.

Sebock sold his soul to the devil.....like he really gives a f**k about anything else apart from how much money he can make out of this.

It wouldnt surprise me if a superuser acc come with part of the package!

I'm not outraged at all as I assume most here bitching aren't.

Its more about how they stole money from players and don't deserve trust/respect.

Were you the guy who was robbed in Australia? If that was you, how would you feel if your friends hung out w the guys that robbed you and told you "oh don't worry there good guys now they can be trusted"

Re: Joe Sebok signs sponsorship deal with UltimateBet

the outrage at UB thing is old enough one might have almost thought they would have made a serious attempt to quell it by now.

I'm not outraged at all. It simply became ridiculous and I'm going to enjoy when it surfaces by pointing out how ridiculous it is.

Now they have a relatively big name signing again and the first thing he does as their new PR guy is apparently provide wrong information in his blog about the state of affairs. Or maybe it's just premature info.. or hey, it's UB, we really don't know.

You couldn't script this if you tried.
