Maybe he has buy ins of $3,500,000 and travel/living expenses of $500,000 (06 to present), so he's broke.

I don't know why people think poker "winnings" are profit. Someone could have $5,000,000 in winnings with $10,000,000 in buy ins. Would you think this player who is down $5,000,000 overall is good because he can show $5,000,000 in "winnings" or bad because he lost 5 million dollars?

Also poker taxes for American residents are ridiculously high. Like 30-40%? Most professionals also have backers and are lucky to get a 50/50 deal.

Man - do people really think Cantu would stand ANY chance against Lisandro in a fist fight? I'd bet the house on Lisandro...easily!

Lisandro looks like one crazy mofo and probably has a good 50-75 pounds on him...Cantu just looks weak and soft.

Lisandro's reputation in things gambling and money is untarnished. He is a boss, to use the term the kids are using. Cantu just has to be wrong in this spot, esp if it escalated to such a high level.

Lol at anyone who thinks cantu could take this guy. He's a little guy compared to Jeff, and not little in the scary dangerous way, but little in the weasel nerd way. I make Lisandro a minus 1300 favorite in a brawl.

also recall reading that JL made a ton of money playing in outfit ran high stakes games in Moscow. Pretty sure he knows how to handle himself when it comes to street integrity, or he wouldn't have survived there, let alone thrived.

People really overvalue tournament "winnings" when they start thinking about how much people are worth. First off not very many players are sponsored into these tourneys anymore, when they were it was a freeroll for them and obviously their winnings were actual winnings, That's not the case anymore...

When you're a tourney degen and you play in 75+ tourneys a year it's really easy to rack up the expenses and the buyins. Not to mention im sure most lose in cash games, or they sure seem too from what i've seen at rio. Nothing better than tourney nl players coming into a plo cash game. Free money for the cash game players...

And it seems to just keep getting worse as the games/economy tighten. Bunch of cowardly deadbeats who need an attitude adjustment to realize the importance of ethics and self reliance. Wish Lisandro would have mopped this scrawny punk, but no point in violence especially if it is -ev for his tourney expectations.
