He's one of the best, if so this he is proof (along with Ungar) that even the best can go broke playing poker.

It is nothing short of amazing that this guy can continue to live the life, being essentially broke all the time. Makes you wonder how long he can possibly keep it up, but sure makes me jealous in the meantime. Seems like a nice enough guy as well, though who knows.

I guess the only part I don't understand is why anyone would stake a poker player who doesn't have a decent win rate.

i would hope that he still gets a nice paycheck from bodog. i played in a freeroll with him last month there and asked him how much money he had in his acct. (i was just kidding really since i wouldnt figure that even the bodog pros played much at that dump) he told me "mind your own business son" . i was just curious since bodog has the worst bad beat shyt poker software known to man, how much he trusted having in there. from his statement, i kinda got the idea he might be on a bad run. going broke seems to have made him a much humbler person.

Judging from the way NVGtards talk about him, I always assumed he was a cocky idiot who no one should like.
Seems the complete opposite really.
Edit: If they're playing as high as 8k/16 FL and 2k/4k PLO I wonder if Dwan is playing purely on his own money...
