Re: Jason Mercier spreads unfounded cheating accusations

Regardless of what is true or not in this case, it is refreshing to see the parties being accused/involved are actually posting in the thread...

Seems like some sort of live match is in order to at least put to rest some of the rumors. Either completely live, or on the app but in person would suffice I think. Either way, as its been said, Jason and Natasha are not doing anything wrong when friends of theirs are asking for their opinion regarding a specific player. It wasn't until OP came here that Jason or Natasha said anything public regarding OP and any doubts they may have about him. Time for a good ole HU4ROLLZ!

Jaclynn stated on her website that she has a friendship with David S. If anyone is capable of optimizing a strategy using Excel and a couple hours of time, it's that guy.

The point is you can't spread rumours/gossip about someone being a cheater without ANY evidence, makes you just seem like a sore loser.
So you say you would tell your friends. He told his friends. What exactly is your issue then? He's not spreading it around and he has evidence, just not anything that can conclusively prove it which is why it's just his opinion. If one of your friends comes to you and asks if someone else is a scumbag you don't need proof to give them your opinion about the person.

evidence of cheating is pretty slim at this point, and a reasonable challenge has been issued. of course the person making the accusation has already pre-emptively quit the thread, so yea. fairly weak.
Who cares who the parties involved are? It's not like he publicly shamed this person with no evidence. His friends asked him about playing the guy on the app. He gave his opinion that he thinks the guy is a bit sketchy. Totally standard no matter who you are. The OP decided to make this public for some reason instead of just dealing with it privately.

Sorry that your action dried up for a easily solvable form of poker on an app.

Seems like it's time to learn another game.

I wouldn't take him on w/ the app. I mean, would anybody risk it rather than play another game that they know/trust more?

The only thing I can say, is if Jason is saying "This guy is cheating and using a bot", then that isnt ok. But if he says "I think this guy is using a bot to play", then he is perfectly within his right to say that. You get a lot of leeway when you use the word think or the phrase in my opinion, so if you are asking for him to stop saying that is his opinion that is not a reasonable ask.

Also, as far as OFC goes, I cannot see the issue with playing a heads up, easily solvable game, on a app, and settling large balances later. I am shocked that so many issues have arisen from this form of "poker".
The only thing with the middle part of your reply here Doug is that this isn't completely okay when one party is incredibly influential in the poker community and the other isn't. Jason has the ability (and has shown as much) to shut out this guys action almost completely based on his personal feelings about this guys play. OP is basically powerless without doing something like this to stand up for himself, which he ends up just getting **** on for.

Being an influential person doesn't inhibit your right to voice your opinion. If OP's livelihood depends on finding people to beat out of money on an app than maybe he needs to find a new career.

LOL. That's a fairly selective view of the facts presented.

I am not backing any horse in this dispute but the op, a male, was a accused of cheating by using a bot.

When the female player won money people assumed it had to be her boyfriend. This without knowing anything about him except he was not a girl.

Re: Jason Mercier spreads unfounded cheating accusations

Jason make a number of good points in his response to the OP. Although he has no hard proof of cheating, there's more than enough to raise suspicion in anybody's mind. Given what he's heard and seen, it's obvious that he would advise people who ask to avoid playing. Any friend would do the same, because the situation looks really sketchy.

Jaclynn's post seemed to address her part in a straightforward manner. That helps build her credibility.

On the other hand, Fernando completely dodged the serious questions, and tried to shift the burden of proof to the person he attacked with his opening post. I don't know who's right or wrong, but HU4ROLLZ isn't a serious response. How about addressing the questions?

"Doctor" Moskow is a "Doctor" of osteopathy, which is the very definition of quackery.

Let's examine her bio from her own website:

http://www.jaclynnmoskow.com/bio/

Dr. Moskow completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Pittsburgh Honors College where she created her own major entitled Molecular Biology and the History of Medicine while minoring in Chemistry.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Philosophy, a degree contingent on defending a thesis to a committee of examiners, including an outside examiner chosen from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

READ: She failed all of her science courses, and had to beg for a Philosophy degree.

While in school, she worked full time in a virology laboratory, interned at a Stem Cell Transplantation Clinic, and took various summer school classes at Harvard University.

READ: Harvard took her money, and would not admit her as a student.

Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she spent two years working for The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine as a Research Specialist before enrolling at Nova Southeastern University for medical school.

READ: She worked as a lowly lab tech until a clown college took her money because they sensed her desperation.

This woman is delusional.

EDIT: Changed "This woman is nuts" to "This woman is delusional."

Actually, DO's go through the same residency programs as MD's (meaning that they are training together with MD's ). They are actual "doctors" and practice in just about every specialty. You may have even been treated by a DO and not even know it.

So, while some believe that osteopathic schools are inferior to allopathic schools the truth is that they receive the same training and experience before being board certified in their specialty.

However, Your post makes your ignorance of the medical profession very clear.

Re: Jason Mercier spreads unfounded cheating accusations

In the USA, osteopaths are physicians with additional training in quackery. In the rest of the world, osteopaths are alternative medicine practitioners trained only in quackery, hence the confusion. In any case, using a professional designation from a completely unrelated field when you play poker is really weird.

jason: "i dont think youre using a bot, i think youre cheating"
OP: "i'm not cheating and in order to prove it to you, i'll play you live on the app and we can even switch devices/accounts"
jason: ...........

like, did i miss something super important here?

wait, so there is a an easy to get bot for this, that tells you perfect play, and there are still people who play enough of this for real money with strangers that you can be hurt financially by being black balled? looooooooooooooool

Mother Teresa could crawl out of the grave and want to play this for money and i'd tell her to **** off. I wouldn't trust a single professional poker player on the planet not to cheat if it was for meaningful action.

Here's an enlightening piece of information from Forbes:

"...there is data that shows that students enrolling at colleges of osteopathic medicine have lower grades than students entering medical schools, suggesting (though this is not proof, of course) that D.O. schools provide an alternative route to a medical degree for those who aren’t good enough to get into normal medical schools."

That is a quite slippery condemnation of osteopaths, calculated by Forbes' lawyers to avoid a lawsuit from an association of quacks.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/science.../#126358091033

Also, when considering "Doctor" Moskow's educational background, keep in mind she rattles off a series of pretty good schools, except for the one from which she ultimately obtained her D.O. (as opposed to M.D.):

https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/nova-1509

Fort Lauderdale is a great town, but if she had been accepted to Harvard, she would have obtained a legitimate degree.

Nolan Dalla is probably a skeevy old scumbag with horrible taste in women, but it was clear after five minutes of watching her on the Joey podcast that there was something off about "Dr." Moskow. This thread prompted me to look it up and spread the truth.

Re: Jason Mercier spreads unfounded cheating accusations

The educational background of Jaclynn Moskow has been fully discussed on this forum in the past. If it ever was germane, it is not germane to the topic of this thread.

Let's move off that topic and back to the topic of OFC apps, bots, and the difficulty of knowing if your opponent is cheating.
