Im creating what i think could be even more exiting than the main event, it would be a Cash games with the elit players, that last 1 week (maybe even more), with very specific rules to crown a champion. I have to develop that idea,its a work in progress, but i love poker so much i have faith one day would be implemented. I also hope it happens before i turn 50..

Agree I can see why 5CS was kicked out back in the seventies when there were only 3 side events in total, but now it's different. Those two games are an integral part of the history of the game and belong at poker's olympics - in a similar way to fencing and Greco-Roman wrestling belong at the sport Olympics. Those two poker variants have a kind of elegance to them deriving from their history.

You would get entries from the kind of people who think a wsop side event is equivalent prestige to a wpt/ept main event and would fancy their chances in a smallish field. Also people who want to play an event in a relatively simple format where they are not giving up too much ev.

People always say this, but I dont quite understand why people dont say "why cant we have both?"

By increasing the starting stack, increasing the starting blinds and bringing in antes earlier can still have a great structure with good endgame, and is more enjoyable to play at the start

Its fairly awful having the starting stack 60 hands in to the tournament 30bb with no ante

a pure endurance race, pay out x amount of places with the winner being the last person willing to play after all have given up and taken x place.

Limit preflop, 1/2 pot limit on the flop, pot limit on the turn, no limit on the river hold em. I want heads to implode!
