Re: Vegetarian prop bet
I'm surprised to hear Ivey doesn't really enjoy eating, his father sure loved that sweetcorn.

Honestly, how many top tier athletes are vegetarians? Is it even possible to maintain a high protein intake as a vegan?

Not necessarily for everyone. It really depends. For me the cravings didn't really happen that much. I had more trouble going from red meat to not eating red meat than from eating only white meat to vegetarian. White meat I quit cold turkey and never looked back. After awhile, me and many other vegans/vegetarians I know actually lose interest in meat.
If he was never a really big red meat eater it may be pretty easy. And while I personally don't eat a lot of soy and "fake meat" products because of the price, I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem for him. As a matter of fact, you can even get vegan soul food in some places. Wishful thinking, but hopefully he continues to limit meat intake.

Pun intended?
But yes, someone who posted before was right. We only know that Ivey will pay Durrrr $1,000,000. We don't know what Durrrr has to pay if Ivey succeeds. Maybe Ivey wanted incentive to go vego and gave Durrrr a heap of juice on the bet.

If you mean DAIRY when you say they put ANIMAL product, then yes. BUt most food in package form in SUPERMARKET does not contain Meat. As for the Large chain such as MACDONALD I have not eaten in one for twenty years, I cannot say if a chain is SNEAKING meat into their FAUX MEAT product.
Yes,
INDIAN FOOD and Most ITALIAN FOOD as the peasants eat(I mean no disparagement, the Pasta and Risottos and the Vegetables , and Middle Eastern Food. BUt yes Indian Food is fine and good.

Re: Vegetarian prop bet
I'm actually a raw vegan, which means I only eat fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. It's really not that hard. It is expensive however. Especially if you try to eat organically. I am only about three months in but I feel awesome. I would recommend it to everyone. You really have to love fruits and veg though. I don't cook any of my food. I use a dehydrator and a blender alot. Smoothies and such. I make cheeze its and all kinds of stuff from nuts and seeds. It does take a lot of time and preparation. I am a stay at home mom, so I have the time and love to experiment. If you care about your health google the raw food diet . (Diet having nothing to do with losing weight) The cravings for other "foods" will dissapear once you give your body what it is actually asking for: NUTRIENTS! With Ivey's money he can hire someone to make awesome food without skipping a beat!

Nice. Sounds intense but cool and I bet with that diet the meat cravings would disappear pretty quickly. Does sound expensive though, especially the nuts. Though if you get them locally at a farmer's market or in bulk probably not that bad. One of the reasons I like being a vegetarian is that it is pretty cheap. Grains, veggies (usually frozen to save money unless I get them at a farmer's market), beans, eggs, and occasionally some soy (usually TVP or tempeh). If it wasn't for the price of satisfying my love of dairy products would probably go vegan (eating out would be hard). Don't know about raw food though, may love spaghetti just a little to much
I wonder if a personal chef is prohibited, seems really easy to do once you have someone who knows what they are doing and can easily whip up meals that will satisfy meat cravings (udame?). Also, I wonder if Durr knows Ivey really likes meat, b/c this doesn't seen really difficult at all (or as someone earlier itt suggested, Ivey just using this as motivation). Though when traveling it can be difficult to do, the cuisine of some countries is hard to get totally vegan and the U.S. south is no vegan picnic usually, and if he eats out a lot that makes it pretty limiting as well.

Google would likely bring up a decent list. Off the top of my head the best example is Carl Lewis who was vegan throughout his athletic career because he felt it enhanced his performance.
Protein is defiantly not a problem, and the fact is that most of us, even veggies, have way too much protein in our diets anyway.

Re: Vegetarian prop bet
Pretty sure the plan involves Dwan waiting until Ivey is really blunted and dropping him off at a McDonald's in the middle of the desert
