He talked about it a bit on joe ingram's podcast a while back

He said the reason was because some countries increased taxes on online poker so they raised rake to compensate. After ppl complained they lowered it a bit in untaxed countries (but not all the way down to the original amount). Not sure how that works or how true that is

He has addressed the more rake comment a couple of times. The last time, unfortunately I can't recall where it was, he had finally acknowledge that no more rake is not better and that had gotten taken out of context.

As for the good things are coming, that was after his heart to heart with Baazov. Shortly thereafter Bozzo was thrown out. So either the great things died with him or they were just part of a BS spin he fed Daniel.

Daniel's real ties to PokerStars was based on his personal relationship to Isai that go back to his underground Toronto card room days. These days he seems to just be going through the motions and collecting a pay cheque. He may have reached the end of putting his personal reputation on the line for this company. I can't remember the last time he mentioned PokerStars that was not part of an obvious press release or contractually required plug.
