This is what happened. Chau had 3 racks of $20 but one was missing a stack of 400. He asked if somebody took money from him. Darush joking answered that Shun took the money while Shun was in the bathroom at that time and told Chau to take the money back. Then Chau took 2 stacks or $800. When Shun returned to the table realized he was missing 2 stacks and went crazy. The dealer and few players saw everything. So Chau give $400 back but called the camera to see if the money was right. There was not stealing from Chau since many people was watching. It's incredible how easy it's to ruin the reputation of a person with a wrong Twitter.

When will people learn that playing pranks with peoples chips/stacks is just not funny in the slightest and is asking for trouble? Grow the **** up.

Your account of what happened doesn't make much sense. Why would Chau believe that the "money was not right" and ask for a camera check? Did he believe someone had taken one of his stacks? And if Chau was joking why would he take it so far as to make the casino go through the trouble of checking the cameras? Lastly, your post appears to be written by someone whose first language is not English - just 'sayin.

A guy I used to play 4k-8k with every day just got caught on camera stealing $800 from the Jap 5 minutes ago at the Bellagio.

The jap came back from the bathroom, being the cheapskate he is, knew down to the last penny how much he had on the table. So....

He asked dealer what happened. Then told the floor to check the camera.... Busted!!!! The thief tried some lame ass excuse....

I think the only certain thing to come out of all this is that Todd Brunson is an ass.

I guess we have to ask the question:

Was Todd Brunson there when it happened?

Moral of the story = If you have something to that takes more than 140 characters, find somewhere other that Twitter to write it.

Moral of the story don't trust Todd Brunson's account of anything.

My assumption is he wasn't because he was tweeting what he called gossip. I don't know how he uses that term day to day so I could be wrong.

I actually think Fat Todd is a pretty funny guy. He wrote the single best Card Player article I've ever read that had me rolling and screaming with laughter.

(It's the one about Sam the Jeweler--and if you knew Sam it is even more hilarious.)

So the guy likes to prank around and tweak the noses of all the hoo-hahs.

Big deal.

It cracks me up that everybody takes this **** so seriously.

If it was your reputation I don't think you would be laughing it up. defending Todd Brunson by writing it off as just a joke is bull****.

So Chau was supposed to have 15 stacks of $20 chips, $400 per stack. But somehow he only actually had 14 stacks. Then he is told Shun took the missing stack, so Chau takes 2 stacks back, "his" missing stack and one stack of Shuns for good measure. Then Shun comes back, says he is missing 2 stacks.

Makes perfect sense. Obviously just a misunderstanding.

This still doesn't really make sense, hopefully op comes in again and clarifies. If true, obv Chau still handled this terribly but that doesn't excuse the fact that Brunson twisted the story and dragged his name through the mud. Chau should hit him with a slander lawsuit if this is all true.

edit: And lol and Brunson repeatedly referring to him as a "Jap", that's pretty disgusting in itself.

I'd guess that Brunson prob has a personal vendetta against him after reading his tweets. He's really milking this as much as he possibly can on his twitter. Furthermore, after reading his tweets, it seems like Brunson might not have even been at the table???

As if being "stingy" is related to being japanese.

Todd is the only one that came out as a jerk here.

Or is he sitting back and having a laugh while the racist police come to the rescue?
