Disagree with DN. I think the lack of ratings are for poker in general, not just because it is a mixed event. Will it help the ratings if the table in NL? Surely a little bit, but not enough to justify doing so.

I mean im not going to be playing in this Tourney anytime soon so maybe it does not matter what I think.

BUT i think a better idea than switching to NL at the final table is just lower the buyin to 25-30k. Id bet you get at least 40-100 more people than keeping it at a non televised 50k event. Still not going to get on TV but at least it keeps the Tournament going.

With ESPN already showing the 40k and if the 40k nl sticks around i dont get the point in making the HORSE a NL final table.

DN is a sophist. He decides what's best for him and then cooks up a load of bogus arguments to try to convince everyone else. Occasionally what he says is right, just by the law of averages. In this case (and I never thought I'd say this but DN v Chainsaw is like the unstoppable force and the immovable object of wrongness) I agree with Chainsaw.

The only merit in a NL final table is more TV exposure = more fish.

Best case scenario is HORSE final table with HORSE structure, meaning more people coming online to play mixed.

This, however, is obviously just not an option to ESPN.

Get rid of HORSE and make it 8-Game if you want the FT to be NL.

There was a 40k NL event that didn't get televised. Surely that shows the demand for televised tournament poker

No, because NL is such a crap shoot, you do not get the same concentration of the best players at the final table at a 40k NL as you do in the 50k horse.
