Barry's pretty much between a rock and a hard place guys, I'm sure you all recognize that. I think it'd be honorable and just plain nice to cut him some slack. But he really shouldn't have disparaged Mike like that.

Yeah, I do actually think that sometimes, that you guys are a little obsessed with it. But if ever there was a time to talk about it again, it would seem to be when Joe Sebok comes on the show as a representative of UB. Not only is that a reasonable time to express your opinions, it would be kind of odd if you didn't.

I think something must have stuck with Barry from that podcast for him to bring it up, kind of out of nowhere, months later. Like he's been waiting for his chance to speak to it...

I think it's very important for PC to maintain its integrity as a leading voice in poker media that you continue to follow up on the UB story. The various poker magazines certainly don't. Their articles on the re-branding of UB read more like ad copy and don't once mention that they are trying to distance themselves from their ugly past.

Don't let it die! I believe there are a great number of listeners like me that are glad to hear this discussed on PC. It can't go away until all the superusers are identified, all the hand histories are distributed, and all the money is returned (i.e., never).

I am more important than all of them combined, as you know, so: Don't let it die, Mike. You're doing well. UB deserves all the hate it gets until the brand name dissolves completely, regardless of who's at the helm.

Maybe Barry is bothered by PC interview with Jim McManus saying that the perception "out there" is if Joe signed with UB then Barry is behind it too and the scandal is dead
(please correct me if I remembered it wrong back from 12-15-09)

Mike, please dont stop being a voice against Ub and their past. The sooner people like yourself go silent on the issue the sooner it will all be forgotten. This must not happen.

Yeah Mike, geez, it's like give it a rest, it's not like it's millions of dollars......

FWIW I don't necessarily blame Joe, IMO we should give him 6 - 9 Months of working for UB before we analyze his results, after that, he should have some of the answers he promised

Where is there UB advertising on pokerroad, except on his page? Of course, nowhere because they still haven't delivered on the third step Joe talked about: delivering us other real names besides Russ.

Even when Joe went on Pokercast after criticizing the way Ub handled things, unlike their other spokespeople, Mike painted him as a sellout saying that he said things supporting how Ub was handling things. Why, because it's more popular to bash Joe than tell the truth, as you guys are doing here. (I bash him and keep Ub stuff off pokerroad also.) In other words, Mike sold out to you guys, because it makes his clientele happier than if he would have told the boring truth.

Barry, I love you but did we listen to the same interview on the pokercast?

Mike and Adam handed him a nice plate of meatballs and let him right off the hook.

Please don't tell me you didn't foresee this happening.

huge props to 2+2 for busting the UB cheating wide open
but time is not on our side the scandal seems to be subsiding

UB owes the cheated players closure
don't know the numbers for sure but approx 250,000 2+2 members and Sebock is supposed to have one million twitter followers PokerRoad radio numbers have been discussed here in the past maybe someone knows the current unique hits per month but no doubt PRR's silence has diminished the pressure on UB to keep their promises to the poker community. UB will keep Joe around long enough until they think the scandal is pretty much dead

You literally cannot say enough about it. I love you and the cast but the Sebok interview was a softball.

This whole thing is such a shame. It blows my mind anyone even remotely known in the poker world would want to associate themselves with UB in the slightest. I know money talks and it wasn't waved in my face, but still.

Damn. Let me tell you, even us recreational, low stakes players think the UB thing is absolutely disgusting.
