Re: High Stakes Player 369TBAGZ Derek Max Knapp Stole Thousands From Me!!!

OK, I read whole thing, and based on his comments to you he came across as one that may have ripped off others in the past, so I took a look expecting to find previous douche behavior such as demonstrated in your aim chat logs.

I am playing at the moment, but a quick search seems to show he has had stealing issues in the past which includes ripping people off on P5s and Neverbeg/PartTimePoker where it appears he was Banned for stealing $57 in 2006 playing under the PokerStars name PornoStar69.

The P5s is a little hard to read because it is from old forum, but it is clear they are talking about your horse using aim "knapp2themax".

http://www.pocketfives.com/f7/must-r...ethical-82067/
http://forum.parttimepoker.com/make-...rnostar69.html (no reason to read past first page where is aim is conformed)
http://forum.parttimepoker.com/members/bigslick.html

I will look into more but at first glance it appears this guy may be a long-time thief from at least 2006

Looks like he is/was from Greenwood Village, (Co?)

He also briefly used FTP account: POKEHERSTAR06 so he may be a multi-accounter as well

(confirmed this is same person OP staked)

Re: High Stakes Player 369TBAGZ Derek Max Knapp Stole Thousands From Me!!!

Remember this guy losing his roll at 200 400 PLO to David Benyamine like 4-5 years ago... OP is probably in a tough spot to get his money back.

They were like 150 BBs deep, guy 4 bets AA27 rainbow, gets it in bad otf, and that's that. If my memory serves me right, he tried to pretend someone had jacked his login info to play those games too. Only person seeing any of this money is going to be this dude's (probably massively douchey) personal trainer.

Re: High Stakes Player 369TBAGZ Derek Max Knapp Stole Thousands From Me!!!

Why do you think it's not possible that it wasn't him playing when that happened at 200/400?

He was disiplined enough to grind the $500 & 1k SnG. Unlikely to go from that to donking off his whole roll at 200/400 in a session.

+1 See it the same way. (not sure about the last part though)

To OP... Can't believe I read that whole convo. IMO you did NOTHING (absolutely nothing) wrong and was nothing but courteous and professional to this douchbag. Unfortunately the dude you were dealing with appears to have some serious emotional problems, doesn't know how to deal/talk with people and the real world is lalaland to him. I mean A - He can't find the swift code. B - he is too lazy (or too screwed up to find the Swift code) or C - He has other reasons to not even look for a Swift code (either way something is really off here). I honestly can't believe you were as professional to him as you were. As I was reading more and more I felt like I wanted to kick the living snot out of this douchbag. In all honesty though you probably should have been looking to end this deal much sooner than you did as the signs were clearly there that you were dealing with a troubled and a scummy as it turned out individual. Although I could see how it could have been hard because he was producing... But if anybody behaved the way he did in a business arrangement with me I wouldn't want to have anything to do with them.

And in the future you will be doing this?

knapp2themax (5:37:24 AM):
dude don't talk down to me

This is the bit where you pissed him off, most professional poker players aren't used to having somebody tell them what to do...

Also, you was a bit of a control freak dbag demanding him message you when a clear +EV spot for both of you comes up, he says your OFFLINE and then you still demand a message lololololol... definitely came across as control freak ****yness in that line as it obv would have made no difference, basically you dented his ego a bit during this part of the conversation.

Dont make the mistake of believing what I wrote above makes me think that OP is at all culpable for what ensued after this section of the conversation. You said at one point you get the impression he doesn't like you... just explaining why he doesn't
One of the douchiest moves a horse can make besides rolling is playing above the expressly stated limits in a stake without prior authorization. OP had right to be downright furious and maybe knew right there stake should be ended.

Respectfully, you could not be more wrong on your conclusion that OP was acting like a "control freak"

It sounds like 369T was basically printing money for you. Why didn't you just cash out in the marketplace, pay the 5-10% yourself and keep raking in the money? Maybe even try to renegotiate the profit split back to 50/50.

Actually, if he would have came to me offering to split the fees, I may have considered it. But, again, if you read through the entire conversation, there wasn't much opportunity for open discussion with the way he handled our talks.

I thought the way you conducted your self through the convo was very impressive from a business POV.

Whoever that **** is, he needs to get down from that high horse of his, and pay back what's yours!

I don't how often you have to deal with personalities like this in the staking world but it seems to me you should have cut ties after the 1st exchange.
