I recently reflected over a drink that almost every other small time grinder tourist i meet has a comped room ,easiest TI/MIRAGE or mgm grande/tropicana/southpoint even the wynn .My point is...if the bottom of the food chain is getting comps off 300.00 buyins then is vegas the kingdom of p00n and cake is it and sadly could it be going like AC ,im pretty sure AC was dropping the bar persay whilst they laid sickly on deathwatch.Ilooked at the bottom of my drink for a answer and stared at the waitresses bum for a resolution .

vegas stopped making a majority of its money off gaming years ago. player cards are used at spas, shopping, restaurants etc... now. you can get a comped room w/o really playing much because they are killing you with the wine pairings at joel rubichon while your wife is at Louis Vuitton.

Me and mom get free rooms at The Orleans (mid-week) based off of her switching her and my player cards on the little bit of slots she plays bec it sure isn't bec of the time I spend in their poker room. There might be some of that in play esp at the lower echelon hotels.

this is a disconcerting development for the old school niche those greatpeople that founded this game and created a lifestyle of leisure in the valley of great distinction .
I cant fathom sustainable prosparity from comping every Tom, Dick and Mary ,you would think these people would play looser .Im not really embracing this new found sentiment as it indirectly conflicts with my pursuits.Heres a toast raise your glass ....sometimes you have to lose yourself to .......find yourself ....hmm.
