Gus Hansen will receive 1.1 million if Ivey wins the main event this year. He said this today in the pro chat on fulltilt. I actually saved the image on my computer.

to get these kind of odds, how many players do u think were left in the tournament when gus made the bet?

If I were the guy who had put up the 20K I'd try to convince Gus to take a buyout of like 100-150K or something now.

no way would he do that

think of how meaningless the $20k is to gus in the 1st place....... hell he probably made the bet with 50 players left.... for ivey to come this far...... no way gus would ever accept a buyout offer now.

maybe he would accept a 25-1 buyout offer (500k) at this point..... but the other guy would never offer that to gus unless he was ******ed.

yeah, imo Ivey only has a 10% advantage on the field so it's a good line to set at that point (assuming equalish stacks).

55-1 FOR $20k

That usually means he gets $20k if the bet comes in.

So he has $400 on the outcome.

Even Gus wouldn't put $20k on Ivey in a field of 6,000 players.
