Scotiabank gives me issues when depositing via CC (as in it doesn't work). BMO has worked for me in the past.

To be fair, I should note that I do all my transactions through Skrill, so I don't know whether BMO would have any problems with doing transactions directly with poker sites.

I've never had any issues with CIBC for what it's worth. Deposits are instant to Stars and no restrictions that I know of. Deposit via CC is fine. Maybe one of these days I'll win enough to make a withdrawl and test that side of things...

Went to a casino and after handing them my US IDs, they entered my name into their computer. What is the reason behind this? I don't recall this happening in the past.

I have finally begun the journey back to online poker. Arrived in Vancouver this afternoon and got a bank account set up. Next step is to find a place to stay. Have a couple appointments scheduled for tomorrow but am still looking for options if anyone has any leads for rentals.

If anyone is looking for a place a bit outside of Vancouver (1 hr drive), I just completed my basement suite here in Maple Ridge.

2br, about 1000 square feet. Brand new everything obviously. Granite etc.

$1500 a month

Wow.

I rent a place in Coquitlam, half the distance to Vancouver, 2 bedrooms and a massive TV room, about 1,200 square feet. $1,300/month. Includes cable and internet. I have to pay 1/3 the utilities. I think you might be pricing your place for the "Chinese Guy Sent to Canada to Go To School" market.

Which probably means you will have multiple applicants.

Meh, it's really nice and we're indifferent if we rent it or not. Similar places here in Maple Ridge are 1200 and we are furnishing it w/full grind pad stuff.

I am ashamed to admit I've never been there even though I've lived here for 13 years.

I went with BMO to get an account set up. I will look at opening another account at one of the other financial institutions after I know where I will be staying.

Good choice. Td banks won't allow transfers to poker site for some reason. Scotia bank is good aswell but alittle higher fees than others

Hey,

I'm moving to Ontario for a year and maybe more to set up a territory for my business and will be looking to rent out my place in South Surrey/White Rock. It will be fully furnished and is 800sq/ft 2 bedroom and available in January.

Location is 5 minutes from the Washington State border. The community it is built in has everything.. grocery, dentist, hair salon's, pubs, coffee shops, gym, retail stores, banks, hardware store, food and of course blondes. Oh and a 5 minute cab ride from White Rock strip and also parks with bike paths and other stuff..

It's about a 25 minute drive down the highway in low traffic from Vancouver, also has access to River Rock, Cascades, Boulevard, Starlight, Fraser Downs and Grandvilla casino's within 30 minutes drives or less.
