Ya, I think Doyle was too deep for that call; he had the stack to afford 5more orbits. I agree, the bet was right and the call was bad (other than A2, A3 or a bigger pair, at best Doyle had to hope he was flipping).
But you gotta admit, the line itself is hilarious!
Late night WPT shows are how I got interested in poker, but I'd often watch with the sound off. VVP and Sexton (especially the latter) are SOOOO annoying. They ALWAYS talked like it was a cash game and it was actually an $8M pot. And they commentate this hand like Doyle is doing something spectacular, when he is actually doing something really dumb and just hoping to get lucky.
Sexton always came across as just so pompous and Vince just seemed like a colour guy who knew jack about poker but was happily doing whatever hostess they had working that year.
