Re: The Godfather of Online Poker (photoshop series)

Amazing, hadn't read past the first part before. Have just done so now while starting the Sunday 1/4 million. Will ship you 10% of my winnings or 10$, whichever turns out to be the bigger sum...

Maybe I should add that I quadrupled my stack while reading and am currently 310 out of 18k+, yay!

money is nice I'm sure, but someone with a May 2007 join date just made his first post "Simply fantastic". That speaks volumes imo.

Yes, I'm impressed and flattered that sulbystar has saved his first post to comment on this thread. Glad you are enjoying it.

Yes, online play, poker book reading/studying, and strat forum reading/posting has been on hold while I work this (although live poker has not been on hold).

Enjoy them. In case you haven't seen them all yet, be prepared for part 3 not being on par with the other three. My ratings of the three parts in order are 10, 10, and 6. Part 3 could have been an 8 if they cast someone else instead of Sofia Coppola as Mary Corleone. She was much more believable as Michael Rizzi in part 1 imo.

Meh, for that matter, just skip Part 3.

It was just a gratuitous regurgitation of popular elements of the first two movies, imo (the whiny heroine, the hitman dressed in cop gear, and of course the obligatory "settling of the accounts" where all the bad guys are whacked at once).

Also, it completely contradicted the book (Sonny's goomah didn't have a baby by Sonny (Andy Garcia's character), the family brought her out to Vegas, where she had a romance with the house abortionist at one of the casinos).

Sorry for the rant.

You are correct. I remember a critic at the time stating the movie failed on a grand scale. But, I still watch it each time it's on....

Yes, she got tightened up because she was so loose and only Sonny could satisfy her. The gynecologist tightened her up and got to test out his work.

This might have been in the original screenplay before Coppola rewrote it. I heard him interviewed on Howard Stern a few months ago, and he said how there was all this weird stuff about a gynecologist that he didn't like at all and took out.
