Effective immediately, CardRunners has decided to part ways with Daniel Cates. While Daniel is a talented instructor, he has shown poor judgement in using a stakee's poker account for his own play. We've informed Daniel of this decision and it is final.

Re: The Girah/Jungleman/DOG IS HEAD Scandal: Part IV
You can add me to the list of NVG'ers who think SGT RJ would constitute an excellent moderator. She's extremely talented and deserves major props for her excellent contributions. Plus, she's fair-minded, approachable, and treats us lowly NVGtards with respect, provided we aren't kooks or obvious trolls. She's gained the respect of most NVG'ers and helps improve dialogue in the forums.

Re: The Girah/Jungleman/DOG IS HEAD Scandal: Part IV
It's painful reading Dan's responses.
FFS did his parents teach him nothing about how to exist in the real world?
this comment by d2themfi nails it:

In this specific situation, your ****ing reputation hinges on the fact that either 1. you tell the whole ****ing truth no bull ****. or 2. people dont find out about the lies you make. I highly suggest you go route #1. Stop thinking about all this theoretical BS and be a good ****ing person for a few minutes and tell us the whole truth, not what Haseeb, your publicist, or agent is telling you to say
Even having to have this discourse with you is so ****ing irritating. Its like you dont realize this is actually happening to you and isnt some ****ing theoretical dream world that you are trying to make the GTO decision in or something

Again, I think that if a mod was following the thread closely this would have been a reasonable suspicion after a while and probably should have been checked, but it's a stretch to call this a 2+2 coverup. Maybe the mods were convinced by the HS regs all saying, "STFU, he's legit". A lot of posters were. I'm not sure why everyone thinks mods have like magical powers of hindsight. They are basically just really invested 2+2 posters, and they may have, like a ton of other posters, just either missed this or believed the HS regs.
Should they have investigated more thoroughly? Maybe, I'd like to hear from the NVG mods ( NoahSD, BTW). But without more evidence, I'd say LOL to there being a massive 2+2 conspiracy to cover up the truth about Girah.

Wasn't there also a mod doling out infractions in these threads? I might have it confused with the boywonder threads, because I was reading some of those today as well.

I'm sure the mods appreciate the extra work.

The mod who was arguing against the conspiracy theorists is gone.
Frankly, this issue has been discussed in every thread about this and I don't know what you people want to do. Have Noah and Vanessa do a Q&A with Mason? Give all the mods infractions? Hand out free copies of Theory of Poker to all NVGtards?

Re: The Girah/Jungleman/DOG IS HEAD Scandal: Part IV
I think releasing the audio was the best thing that could happen Jungleman, and I didnīt feel he was torn apart at all during this (mind you, I have always thought heīd been innocent of most of the accusations thrown his way and was being used as a shield by DIH). Yes, he is not your stereotype slick politician when it comes to his answers, thatīs for sure. Also, many people that know him have said that this is the way JM interacts with people in his daily life. If anything, the interview reinforced my belief that here we have a slightly socially awkward guy that is being manipulated by somebody way "wiser" in the ways of the world. Yes, he does stumble, stutter and backtrack on some things, but that behaviour is way less suspicious than a slick, rehearsed statement. Heīs even offering new information throughout the interview, and noone can blaim him for feeling stressed. After having now listened to most of it, we have guy thatīs a bit confused, and a bit scared, and that has probably done some things that are on the lower side of the ethical greyscale (multiaccounting, vouching carelessly for someone he did not really know) and is terrified as to how these things may taint his reputation. Jungleman, as an old man compared to you I would say you should really choose your friends better and become less dependant on any of the ones you have, you should never enter business relationships with them (especially at their proposal), you shouldnīt MA because you are held to a higher standard than the rest of us and itīs not a good thing to do, and you shouldnīt bend the truth at all because even if you are not malicious and the lies are white youīre pretty bad at it and lying makes people look like they have more to hide than they perhaps really do.
Edit: and fire that PR-woman. Good luck.

Re: The Girah/Jungleman/DOG IS HEAD Scandal: Part IV
Only part way through the Noah/Vanessa interview but WOW JM just looks and sounds terrible. He can't handle this brilliant grilling by Noah and Vanessa. Great work guys, thank god someone can police these cheaters and try to keep poker's image out of the muck.

Definitely not, but that thread is a LOT more readable and clearly the mods can't keep up, as evidenced by the ton of stupidity you're referencing.

*sigh*
Whatever, man. I mean, your opinions about NVGer's aside, taking the link out wouldn't stop anyone anyway.
Moderating must be a thankless task, of that I'm sure. Just as I'm sure it's just your pity for the HS moderators that prompted your request, and not a belief that anyone who's an NVGer, or not a HS reg, is a moron, correct?
That's sweet of you. Maybe they'll give you a cookie.

I BELIEVE (but am not sure, ask Rangey), that infractions were threatened, but IDK if any were given.
And the mod who was actively involved in debating the issue is gone now. NoahSD has already stated he wasn't following that thread. So again, IDK, doesn't seem like a conspiracy to me.

Re: The Girah/Jungleman/DOG IS HEAD Scandal: Part IV
I must get out of this bizarre mess as I can't take any more, but FWIW, I would like to thank the following people:
MossBoss for coming forward.
3x Range Merger for making some quality cliffs right off the bat.
RangeyMcTriplmerge for this (*) and many other great posts (this is quoted for much needed levity).
NoahSD for being good at his craft
VS for being so helpful in the interview process
Last but not least (in addition to all the posters in these threads) SRG RJ. You have put in a ton of work, and it has caught me up at various points and have found many of your posts insightful, so for that I thank you.
Girah/JM/HQ thanks for the making this roller coaster so interesting (JM, get some life-adjustment help. You are way smart but have no EQ)?

"Just what is your fascination with the secret closet of mystery?"
Basically, it's like a smoking hot chick coming up to you in a bar, rubbing her boobs against your face, nibbling your lips and lifting up her skirt to flash you her knickers.
For a split second you notice what looks like a bit of a bulge in the knickers. Just a split second glance, so you can't be sure if it was just a trick of the light or if there's something wrong down there. You like this girl, but you really, really don't want her to have anything disturbing down there... So you ask her to have another look as there was something a bit strange.
She just says "stop being such a hater yo!" and runs off, and then never answers your calls for months. You want to forget about it, you really do. But she was so keen to get your interest at the start, and now suddenly she wants nothing to do with you... and that bulge... what the hell was it, seriously...? Eventually it gets to the point where you don't even care about the girl any more, you just want an explanation ffs!!
Explain the bulge please Jose.

Re: The Girah/Jungleman/DOG IS HEAD Scandal: Part IV
JM talks a pretty long while about different levels on which you can lie on. How about just telling the truth? Jeez.
I feel a little bad for him though, it must be a hell going through all of this, but wtf? Things like this really hurt the poker world and for us grinders its not fun to read about. How much cheating is there, really?! Makes you question everything.
Taking into account many other threads on here I just wanna share a good advice to everybody: mind your own business (meaning dont play other accounts and so on).
Also, learning the hard way, Ive come to this rule that I live by since many years now: dont take any loans and dont give any loans. That would make the poker world a much better and easier place to be. (Guess I had the Chino thread in mind writing this, but anyway).
