Interesting. He DOES have Grinder down as an unsecured creditor - but for "possible contribution claim" for "Southern Star Gaming". Anyone know what that is? Hopefully Giorgio isn't trying to pass off a gambling debt as a legitimate business related unsecured claim; or else he's gonna be in a lot more trouble than just being busto.

Also: LOL at 220 bucks owed to the UNLV dental college. You know you are busto when you can't afford a real dentist to work on your grill.

Re: Giorgio Medici filed bankruptcy to avoid paying a bracelet bet to the grinder?

grunch after 30 or so replies

Bankruptcy has next to nothing to do with the bet. The court isn't going to enforce a gambling debt or even count it among liabilities when evaluating a bankruptcy filing.

If the only issue is a gambling debt you can't or don't want to pay, just skip the bankruptcy filing.

Bankruptcy has nothing to do with this. This was a one-way bet from the beginning.
Reminds me of a time when a friend of mine owed a Vegas casino 40k that he didn't have. He thought he was safe in MI. He got a phone call one day and was told to look outside. His car blew up. He paid.

What a nice Guy Michael Mizrachi THE GRINDER

Poker champ Mizrachi owes $340,000 in taxes and is in foreclosure

South Florida's Michael 'The Grinder' Mizrachi has $6.9 million in tournament winnings

May 12, 2010|By Nick Sortal, Sun Sentinel

South Florida poker superstar Michael Mizrachi, with $6.9 million career winnings, owes almost $340,000 in federal taxes and is facing foreclosure.

Mizrachi, 29, who had a record-breaking 2005 World Series of Poker, has been hit with a $339,711 lien from the Internal Revenue Service, records show. A Hollywood condo he owned with his brother, Robert Mizrachi, was foreclosed on and sold via an online auction on Wednesday. His Miramar home was foreclosed on in March, and is up for sale next week, according to court records.

Question? What If someone makes a bet lays 5-1 on a bracelet bet u lay 20k to win 100k and when It comes to pay he says he files bankruptcy!

Hi Michael I am sorry but certain circumstances came up and I had to file bankruptcy. I listed you to in the list and I know you received
letter from the law office Bricks. Again I am sorry but there is nothing I can do

My response: Why did you make a bet if you can't honor it ? I paid $47,500 to every 1 who had action! You can work a payment plan ?
Same reason you'd get a loan and not make payments, I guess:
