I don't think the sites are doing anything because it all seems to be about guarantees with MTTs and not about softness or even structure. There's been plenty of times on party a guy with a really low ABI is bossing the table.

If anyone is Truly wondering if this is a significant issue. Try seeing it from the eyes of a recreational. Or maybe even ask a few .....how they feel about mediocre pros getting an elite pro to play their hands at the final table in the recs rare chance of a big MTTscore

Ghosting is Just another scummy ploy waved through as standard by the pro poker community and their stables

The bottom line is that sites don't care and can't do anything about it and the MTT community as a whole doesn't care to out their friends(see BOO! There's a ghost at my final table thread).

Great. So in the meantime the casual player continues to get cheated by people who shouldn't need to cheat but can't find enough ways to do so

And some people wonder why poker is dying .....

People don't wonder this, so you and your garbage posting ilk should stop repeating that garbage over and over.

Right. So no one at all discusses how online poker is dying. Got it

If you know people systematically abusing this, just call them out. Easy. Just tell the pokersites support in doubt.

But, ... there is a fine line between coaching and sweating and systematically ghosting. I think people should be allowed to watch each other play and comment on strategy and stuff. It's important to know exactly where it get unethical. I draw the line when someone plays and the other guy tells him what to do. Also asking another person what to do while in a hand is already crossing the line in my opinion.

If i do sweating with friends, i try to give advice only after the hand played out.

And that's ^ the correct attitude to have. I used to do exactly the same to the chagrin of my newb friends who couldn't understand when I would refuse to advise in play

"Unethical" is not a word most poker players understand unfortunately

whats worst is if they are doing this and collecting HHs and sharing databases...one player getting the equivalent of dozens of players HHs. this would even be powerful on something like Ignition(with anon games where all your info is gone after the tourney ends)because if you have enough players in the same tourneys, you will have a significant information advantage come the late stages of MTT, where the stakes are upped.

Another reason why stables are horrible for the game.

Read the thread and I get the general idea, but can someone explain exactly what ghosting is? Sounds like multiple players to a hand?

more specifically it means that low stakes / weak regs let stronger players play on their account when running deep for a profit share.

This! So many people in poker with no morals at all. I don't care if they can't enforce the 1 player per hand rule, that doesn't make ghosting morally acceptable. It's still scummy as fk.
