At 2:00 PM, I hit refresh on the GCG Remissions page and saw the option to file a petition and thought, "don't mind if I do". I entered my information and got the error about an invalid petition number. No worries, though. I'll just stick a 0 in front and see if that works. It did. My balance was exactly what I was expecting which brought me great joy. I confirmed and updated my personal information. I called my bank to make sure all of the electronic information I was putting in was correct. I agreed to the terms and conditions also confirming that I was eligible to get the money. I got my confirmation email. I'm pretty happy ATM.
Good luck to everyone else.
DO NOT GIVE UP! If you think you are short $100 or $100,000 do not just agree to settle for less. Fighting for what is rightfully yours will not forfeit what they think you should get - you'll get that regardless (assuming there are enough funds to reimburse everyone 100%). But, if you just agree to their amount, then you definitely will not get what you should.
As for me? As Peter Griffin once said after turning into Jayna's tampon, "Now we play the waiting game" ...
