And you would know this how?
You would be wrong. There is no "fight here". If you were a legitimate customer of FTP, eligible for remission, and if, as a result of the "fraud", you lost money you will be able to file a petition for remission and you will get your money back, just like everybody else. Petition and/or Control Number aside. I promise you your account information, provided you had an account, is somewhere in that data and it can and will be located.
If the information in the database GCG has was not sufficient to identify you and send you an email yesterday then there is currently no "right person" to talk to. There may well be at a later date, but we have to wait for that info for now. The people answering the phones are reading from a script. However, if you chill just a little there will be specific instructions and resources available to you that will explain exactly how to get the information you need in order to complete your own petition for submission.
This type of "panic information" from folks never before involved in a remission is just not correct. In every remissions case there are always many victims missed by the "automated" process of identifying victims and preparing petitions for those victims identified. Trust me when I tell you there will be ample time for you to put yourself in exactly the same position for remission as anybody that got the "email".
