So sad to see this. I haven't even watched the episode yet as I was busy tonight. I guess I have that to look forward to tomorrow

Can't believe I spoiled myself by reading through this thread during tribal council (since I figured it was a foregone conclusion).

G-Man literally whined often, not just to the camera about the conditions, but literally to other tribe members. I quote:

"I dont know why we need to talk separately....(Latasha says something)... I don't wanna do that anymore". He said the last part in a very whiny tone.

Kass was right, he was paranoid. That was his ultimate downfall. And to boot, he argued with Kas at tribal council when he knew she was the swing vote. Unbelievable fail. Like if the Ravens had blown their 22 point second half lead in the Super Bowl and lost to the niners (when the previous largest blown lead was 10 points), it would not have been as big of a choke job as G-Man did after the challenge and through tribal council.

FWIW, despite the whining, I was still pulling for him to win 100%.

What is the appearance fee for lasting a couple players? I thought at one time it was a sliding scale like a 100 person MTT but only start like a 2-3 table SNG.

In a couple years would you consider going back for another, or is being stuck with a few loonies not worth the bother?

How is J'Tia on the brains team? Still, pretty much all gman's fault he got knocked out. Having an "open discussion" really is never a good plan. He started off well though; getting off David was the smart play. Maybe the elements took a toll on him.

Surprised people didn't see the blind side coming, was pretty obvious for me and my misses watching it

white girl was never committed to garret, and they're all smart enough to know they won't have many chances to get him again

Lots of survivors have starts like this and the tribe refuse to take advantage and get rid of a big player and just vote off the easy selection and it burns then down the track

It will be interesting to see how well the brains tribe fares in the physical parts of the upcoming challenges.

It seemed like most of the reason they were able to build a big lead in the 2nd challenge is because of the way Garrett was pulling the baskets under water.

On a side note... if they're in a situation where they pick one person to solve a puzzle, I would give the chess champion/econ student a shot over J'tia lol

sry Gman. but have to agree. you blew that deal.

1) no money in "open discussions", everyone solid

2) the fact that someone that was obvious next vote off, proceeds to dump tribes entire rice supply out, THEN doesn't get voted off, should show you how off course your strategy went

3) Your Freudian slip of "alliance" vs "tribe" pretty much summed up what cost you the game, which was continuing the open discussion blunder and totally mishandling the situation during tribal council.

was definitely rooting for you. I am sure it felt like you were doing the right thing as it was unfolding, but even you must agree you just slaughtered the strategy.

just goes to show how complicated that game can be. looks easy on TV on when you can see hole cards. lot more difficult on the beach eating rice and bugs.

Oh man my first episode of survivor, he really screw up with that open discussion and then talking too much at that voting.
And umm JTia has to be like the worst player in the history of survivor, isn't she?
They voted smart tho, they knew its their best chance to vote him right now, while knowing they are safe because jtia will be next.

Agreed. I was kinda weirded-out by his physique.

Plus, I think people viscerally resent others who have "too nice" of a body. It seemed like the other plain looking dude in the tribe flew under the radar while Gman did everything he could to draw attention on himself.

I don't think I am exaggerating when I say GMan delivered the worst performance in Survivor history. He has the idol on day one and gets voted out before a psychotic chick, who sucked at every aspect of the game, dumps out the entire teams food supply hours before the vote.

Wow. Everything he said in his whiny voice was cringe worthy. Every time he spoke at tribal council I wanted to look away. Just stfu survive and advance. But no.

Obviously he had a bad table draw, but damn GMan. What in all of your extensive survivor research lead you to believe it was smart to vote in a way that would leave you 2 men vs 3 women. Sure the one dude was gunning for you, but you should have targeted him 2nd. And then you had the grand idea to be the first player in survivor history to try and force these women to speak in front of the group that they were going to vote out one of their fellow women.

Truly pathetic. I hope you learned a valuable lesson to put at least a one second filter between your brain and mouth.

That was bad. I watch Survivor and while watching this premier I thought 'there is no way this guy is a high stakes poker player and he has clearly never seen an episode of survivor'.

Searched him today and ...

Wow, that was pathetic and made me feel bad to watch. I don't know that it's possible to play worse.

Sorry Gman. I'm sure you're still great at poker.

It's beyond me how he could be such a good poker player, when on the show, he played like he had his whole cards showing on a very bad bluff!

Knew he was voted off before they got to council. So obvious.

I can't help but think that if the chess master viewed how the 'high stakes' poker pro played the game, that he must at least be contemplating switching over to poker going forward.

this and JRBs display, but I don't remember if JRB was considered a poker player or a night club promoter?

The very moment right before the voting I weight in all the info and figured if I was in Garreth's place, I wouldn't use an idol, couse that r-tarded chick was an obvious one to go. I mean it's first time in Survivor history that someone both pisses everyone around the camp with the way they are AND unbelievably F-ups the challenges AND throws all food away in first couple days! I watched all 27 seasons of this game, any single one of those 3 reasons alone eliminated people almost every single time! Seriously WTF WTF !!!
Sure, Gman should have stayed quiet towards the end, but how is that even close to what that insane B did??? Gman eliminated biggest threat to him (david) right of the bat, outbeasted all other 16 players in second challenge like you won't see ever again, managed to stay well under the radar and call all the shots almost till the end. That was as close to a perfect game as you get in this game.
Like someone mentioned, he should have eaten a lot before coming to the game, now it looked like hunger affected him big time in his last day and that poured salt into flawless game
If this seasons' Survivor had any of the previous formats Gman would of had no problem to reach the merge at least, but being placed in a tribe with 5 scheming lunatics who only kept on thinking how to blindside someone is really a recipe for a disaster. Producers really f-d up his game, dude could have easily been placed on a beauties team if he had no brains same as he could have been placed on a brawn team if he had a ****ty job like all on that team. And if he ended on any of those 2 other tribes it would have been no brainer he's #1 in the race for title.
Put any of Survivor greats to the tribe he has been and they probably won't make it alive either.

People saying he didn't do good, really don't watch this game enough to know that there is so many random things in it that you can't go all the way without major luck. This (and couple previous) season, where everyone has one thing in mind - blindside!, so far compared to previous seasons looks like year 2014 of super aggro poker vs year of 1980, where everyone was thinking only on one level, not 5.
GG man, you really did good, GG!.

Yea, using the idol there is like the equivalent of a tight old guy rasing 15x pre with aces bc he's afraid of taking a bad beat.
