for the italian site u need to be resident and have a italian bank account.
I thought you needed a European bank account to play on .fr, but could be wrong.

Really? Where does this date come from?

I made the date up in my head---using the formulas that DOJ/GBT negotiations went on for about 2 weeks -DEAL DONE
GBT/FTP negotiations went on for about 2 weeks --DEAL DONE

I figure most of the paperwork has been completed and it is just a matter of getting a judge to sign off on the foreiture then the sign off on the sale to GBT

with a few holidays in there for christmas and new years , not sure how much longer it would take considering 90% of the "leg work" has already (or seems to be)done.

At the same time, I am still waiting to see a credible explanation of how the magazine making the calls was able to obtain the home phone numbers of many current FTP players and nobody else, without the help of GBT or FTP. In the absence of both proof and explanation, what does Occam lead us to believe?

well we heard from maybe 5 people-plus the ones whose brother's cousin's friend's uncle got called!
But I would bet my lunch money that if I went through the books at PS and picked at random 10 people that opened new accounts after FTP got shut down , that at least 70% of them were former FTP account holders!

OK, that is understandable.

I was under the impression that the GBT/DoJ negotiations went on for longer than two weeks - that it was something like two weeks between agreement in principle and signing of the letter agreement, but that there had been ongoing negotiations for a lot longer before the agreement in principle.

Certainly Ifrah made it sound like the FTP/GBT negotiations only really happened in the two weeks following the GBT/DoJ letter agreement.

FWIW , I think the FTP/DoJ settlement discussions are the most complex of the three, and will therefore take the longest amount of time. OTOH, they have probably been going on for months. No telling when they will conclude. The GBT/FTP agreement should be the simplest and shortest. I doubt that the DoJ settlement will be concluded (not including going to the judge with it) before Christmas, but I have no compelling argument to offer in support of that view, so I can't say that my estimate of February or later is any better than yours.

BTW, I have responded to a lot of our posts recently. I don't mean to be trolling you -you just have more interesting things to say.

I was under the impression we had heard from rather more than five. I agree that a large percentage of recent signups at PS will be from FTP. However, some will not be, and we haven't heard from any poker player who was called but wasn't an FTP player, nor do we know that all who were called had PS accounts (in fact I can't remember hearing any of them say they had a PS account). I find the PS conspiracy theory too convoluted to be the most likely explanation.

I'll agree that it is not proven beyond a reasonable doubt that Tapie was behind the calls, but I can't accept, on the available evidence, that it is more or equally likely that PS was behind them.

Spanish licence will cover Spain only so a KGC licence would have (very limited) value throughout ROW but would at least allow trade outside Spain. GBT will go with the existing AGCC licence to cover ROW so the point is moot. GBT may also apply for French, Italian and Belgian (sorry if I forgot anyone) licences if they want to trade in France, Italy and Belgium.

There are sites that still offer games to US players. I understand missing the access to the bigger sites (I do too) but it's not like you can't make money out there at the moment. Where's all this desperation coming from?

what happens to my $2500 worth of FTP points and iron man medals?

Sounds stupid but I jus win more on ftp lol. Dno if it's the interface but I'm comfortable playing more tables etc, nd I love their game choices.

+ To be completely honest I'm quite broke, so if I did dep on another site, i'd have to grind micros and rele can't be fkd for that.

Here's to me 'praying' ftp comes back next month aye lol

soo many non sense itt,a spanish license would be only good for spanish market aka spanish players, the kgc license would be good for row(before both ftp and stars were using a kgc license till they move to agcc) and not only for canada lol.GBT has probably been already negociating with the agcc for a new license.
the only thing im a littlr bit scared off right now is that ifrah obviously knowes about gbt intention of what they will do with row funds/ftp points but he isnt telling us.(he knowes since he obvioulsy had to see the agreement between ftp/gbt).
so why isnt he telling us ?
on the other side it is less likely that ftp current share holders would have had agree to a deal that doesnt refund 100% of players balance.
