finally after recovering from Hurricane Ike and having Houston restore my power, i make it back online.
after reading Nat Arem's recent blog post, i really only intended to read the thread on Russ Hamilton; i must have misread something in the Hamilton thread b/c i inferred that BarryG was expecting an apology from Oliver...an hour and 633 posts later, here i sit.
Oliver, people kept telling you to put the shovel down. you would think with a *vast* history online starting with USENET groups, you would know: you can't win an argument online. evar!
but hey, we do all owe you some thanks: prior to reading this thread, i thought you were an industry agent who occasionally hit up 2p2 to explain the inner workings to those of us who probably will never make it inside poker's velvet rope. i now see you are pretty much nothing more than the 'standard' sports agent. since my only contact with sports agents has been via friends in the NFL, let me assure you - it's not a positive to be compared to a sports agent (think Jay Mohr's character in Jerry Maguire. not pretty.) at least you have given us all a "More You Know" moment. tyvm!
an aside: if i was Lara Miller, i would be thinking law degree and then opening my own management shop. +1.
lastly, a little advice: you cannot, no matter how much you try, put out a fire with gasoline. this thread proves that for sure.
