see what one can do with pointless speculation? who knows how far along the talks are, or if they are all trying to work together and hammer out various details, etc. it's just so incredibly dumb to draw such simplistic conclusions. we just have to sit and wait.

this isn't how it works in the business world. you don't have 6 different interested groups fly in and visit your offices, then throw out an article like this to forbes, then add on the end "we're hiring a financial advisor to takeover." this is just a precursor to the inevitable, bankruptcy unless enough cash is infused to resume operation.
It's like that "Insert Coin" message on an arcade machine, yet it's $100s of millions and outstanding civil suits to continue.

Over the two years preceding Black Friday, the US government seized approximately $115M of player funds located in U.S. banks.

|
In addition, as was widely reported, a key payment processor stole approximately $42M from Full Tilt Poker.
|
Were dividends reduced as a result?

|
Finally, during late 2010 and early 2011, Full Tilt Poker experienced unprecedented issues with some of its third-party processors that greatly contributed to its financial problems.
|
Were dividends still being paid out in late 2010 and early 2011?
Assuming dividends were not appropriately suspended/reduced, I think it's only fair that FTP owners contribute to a deal. Maybe they can loan their own money at zero interest to the buyer.

which could be why they are there!
and we don't know how long they have been in talks with these other investors. The exclusive agreement only ended recently. the point is we don't know, so to make a definitive claim with pretty much no other facts at your disposal is nothing other than intellectual laziness.

Interesting admission. It means that the banks involved in the 70+ illegal merchant accounts were made suddenly aware of their company's involvement in gaming processing through efforts of the doj investigation in 2010. They would immediately close the illegal merchant account, imposing fines etc. This occurred as a wave.

At least it appears Forbes didn't leave anything out.
Hey, FTP - the players deserved to get the announcement at the same time, if not before, anyone else. And blaming everyone else for your problems without acknowledging and apologizing for the mistakes YOU made that contributed to the situation is pretty ****ing funny at this point.
Bah, why bother. They obviously still don't get it and never will.

your optimism has been noted but shall we say, your exuberance is irrational.
you can draw inferences from similar experiences and in this case, when they're on their 6th wine and dine and still no deal, it's time to become desparate. that's what the employees who are working in the Dublin's offices are thinking and so maybe you should too.
parallel those real-world business experiences and you'll understand exactly what i'm talking about. it's called empathy.

I wish Full Tilt would actually answer our questions. Nobody wants to hear you blame everyone else.
It's obvious now that we are fcked, Full Tilt is definitely going under. Everyone who is even remotely responsible for all our money vanishing can rot in hell.

Re: FTP Discussion Thread (Everything but big new news goes here. Cliffs in OP)
It's real simple Jeff/FTP:
1. How much was owed to players on April 14?
2. How much did the government seize on April 15?
3. How much cash is currently on hand?
Let's get some real mf'ing answers instead of more of the same woe is me it's not our fault bs.
If millions in processor seizures didn't tell you the government was serious, and you still didn't plan for contingencies, then it is YOUR FAULT.

I have said nothing to the effect of ftp getting money back. I am simply saying you are not being very logical and you are jumping to conclusions based on very little information. I take issue with your erroneous conclusions.
