Has the deadline for filing a case to get your FTP$'s passed yet?

Is this deadline the same worldwide or have we more/less time to file from Europe??

Seen as we are hearing no new news today so far, would it be in our best interests to file a case against the DOJ to return some/all of our funds?, as soon as possible ?

no the deadline has not passed and will not pass until we got paid up.

you know where to file your case and it is absolutely irrelevant where you come from. but i can NOT recommend to file this case against the DOJ!

The deadline is today so probably too late anyway, and you might just get slapped with a frivolous claim fine unless you have a bounced check or something from one of the seized accounts.

The PPA doc here: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&p...yMjc0&hl=en_US

basically says that our best bet if the acquisition doesn't go through is for the DOJ to rule that all players are victims who qualify for remission. Even though we don't exactly fit the regulations, the DOJ's decision isn't reviewable by the courts.

Quote:
The statutory authority regarding remission is clearly greater than that provided by the regulations. In such circumstances it is always easier to ask for special treatment from an executive official with discretion to take into account unusual circumstances than it is to convince a court that the set of unusual circumstances warrants an exception to a statute.
Additionally, Federal Regulations, especially internal Executive Branch regulations such
as 28 C.F.R. 9, are far more easily amended than statutes if it turns out that amendments need to be made to allow for the seized money to be returned to players as part of a remission process.

I would just like to remind ppl that the DOJ does not have your money. All this talk of remission should be considered as a last resort. Even if you took ALL the funds that the US DOJ has snagged over the course of the last 4 years, it would not be enough to satisfy paying account balances, as I've already reported. In addition, such funds were seized by multiple jurisdictions and not only by the SDNY, and some of it has already been disbursed following forfeitures. That does not include obviously, any future forfeitures from claw back etc, which could take a long time.

Just to be clear, imho, seeing the Tapie deal for FTP be completed in a way that all players account balances are able to be paid, remains the best possible solution for everyone. Everything else is secondary.

Diamond do you know if we can expect any news in the near future? Any S:P articles in the works?

I contacted Mr Ifrah, he said:

"There may be an update this week, possibly tomorrow. "

I used to be able to log in to rakebackpros which was fulltilt's inhouse rakeback provider. The site is down so i am thinking they are getting rid of the affiliate model.

^ FWIW I always thought rakebackpros was not an affiliate. It seemed like something established and run by FTP to offer rakeback to existing players. That was always my impression at least...

I always thought this too. Fwiw, that site has been down for some time now, but can't swear that it was right after the suspension.
