When I say limbo funds added back into your account, I meant on paper obviously, meaning higher account balances. Clearly if there was not enough real cash before that, there isnt now either. The actual funds that were grabbed "in transist" were not returned to FTP obv. Remember that the overwhelmingly vast majority of those limbo funds were only deducted on paper from your account, there was virtually no real money to actually put "in limbo". However, the account balances, including limbo, would have had to been reconciled to present the correct numbers to any buyer. I do know that FTP and Iron Man, tourney tickets and Store etc were all discussed with GBT, I do not know for sure how this will be handled now.

Disclaimer: I was told months ago that the above happened, obviously I have not seen it with my own eyes, and players will have to check all this out when the time comes.

"limbo funds" are the monies that were in transit, real or virtual, either to or from the players/site. To me, the obvious reasons that they weren't added back in to the account balances promptly were likely: 1. They were trying to keep the appearance that everything was status quo and then 2. They had no idea who received or didn't receive real money that was in transit so soon, since payment processors accounting was not immediately reconcilable either. They would have no immediate knowledge of what players actualy received checks or transfers, and which of those that did, actually had a negotiable instrument. This would be a long and tedious process. I do not know the answer to the tourneys in progress scenario, but I can only speculate that these would be handled according to the rules on chip chop/payments, same as any other time a tourney was cancelled midstream. I do not know if this was the case, just my speculation.

As for hiding liabilities, while I understand your concern, this is the whole point of any buyer's due diligence. What someone says is true doesnt matter until accountants can verify things.

I don't know why you think that ROW limbo funds would be different than US limbo funds. Yep, ROW withdrawals were mostly stalled too, everyone knows that now. Too bad more ppl didnt speak up at the time, only the ones that bragged about getting their withdrawals did.

I am not an advocate for FTP, I am just telling you what I was told. You may remember there was another "deal" that was almost complete in April, and these things had to have been addressed. I also was very clear in telling you that I had no way to verify that it's true, and that it will be up to all of us to see that the numbers are right when the time comes.

I did not get my information from Ray Bitar and I am not single sourced. If you think you have better information than I, please share it.

Keep in mind that all Wendeen said was that the deal is a lock in her opinion and her impeccable sources opinion and that announcements are in the works. She didn't say how long that would take.

There's not really much reason to sweat Wendeen's Q & A, which isn't likely to provide any new meaningful information. I'm excited to get the full story from DF tomorrow-ish or whenever she can.

This thing is coming to a close in the near future. Debating what the next few days means is pointless, they will report as soon as they can do so with confidence and accuracy.

well I mean from what I've read people are anticipating the deal to be done/announced this week. However it's rumored to take until Nov 2012 to get to play / get funds from FTP2

After server costs, PACER bills, and a few other expenses, her site is a net loser that is surviving off of the small profit that SP made from donations.

I don't know when DF is publishing anything, but this is completely ridiculous. Nobody uses the word few to mean exactly three.
