GBT: I'll announce it if you don't. Don't waste my time. I'm a Tapie. I don't want people calling me about this, I'm done. Put up an announcement or I'll #$#* you up.
FTP: Whoa no problem bro, it's cool, we're cool man. Just an idea. Let's just also say PS is looking into buying us and act like it's totally gonna happen.
PS: wut?
FTP: Dude just pretend, don't be a #$@. Nobody likes a #$@.
PS: I dunno, it's just that... wait what were we tlaking about? lolz I'm so fkd up
FTP: Squirrel!
PS: Oh no way, rad!
I am questioning the immediate flip flop from Tapie tapping out and stars suddenly being in.
People assume that the doj turned Tapie down because of someone else. I think they turned Tapie down because his payout proposal was a glorified marketing scheme and not a payout proposal at all. People really need to understand that the DOJ has no real motivation to see FTP come back to life. What Tapie offered did not really match up with anything they tried to do.
I just question the sudden rumor shift to stars because it is an easy cover as stars can't deny it and they are meeting with the doj for other issues.
I don't know if it is a serious deal or not. I just want anyone with sources to examine the situation through the prism that anyone related to FTP is a completely unreliable source and then see how things look then.
Just like with Tapie the Doj holds all the cards and they could care less if FTP ever existed again. In fact they would likely want it to stay dismantled. So you have to really think about the motivations involved.
As a pure business deal stars buying FTP is a no starter. It is only worth a very small fraction of the cost of player paybacks to them. So they have to get some concessions or benefits from the DOJ.
The question is why would the DOJ want to give any concessions or benefits to Stars?
