I have no source except my own functioning brain for the following but...

Facts:
PS paid 547M to settle.
US player accounts totaled only 150M.
All level-headed reports said that all sides of the deal wanted to get all players made whole.

There's plenty of money to pay back US players through the remission process (I'm even going to guess that points, medals and other promotions will be converted to a $ value and included).

You will get details in time but for now be happy!

Indeed it was a long hard road out of hell!

Congratulations everyone.

The domain name agreement covers repayment of customers; there would have been no problem using it to repay US players.

The government is definitely shooting an angle here. What angle it is is open to debate. But there was absolutely no requirement that we be forced into the remission process.

Happy to hear this. DF If anything I said when I was kind of calling you out offended you I am sorry. I will make the public apology.

Great to hear that FTP will be relaunched and looking forward to playing again. But glad that everyone is going to get their monies.
I am sure Stars will do a great job running FTP

Oh yeah To all of the others who posted HELPFUL stuff and not that tin foil BS, You know who you are, Thanks so much.

Looks like I'll see my 15k soon then
07-31-2012 , 12:09 PM
Do you have to know the exact balance of your full tilt account for remission? (points, medals also?) Is there any way to find out that value?
07-31-2012 , 12:09 PM
It doesn't really make sense that the DOJ would go through all this and then somehow shortchange law-abiding, tax-paying Americans who have no liens against them, don't owe child support, etc.

That said, we will be getting zero dollars for FTPs, medals, etc.
07-31-2012 , 12:09 PM
Given the size, complexity, and the fact that a huge number of people aren't even going to know the exact details of their account with respect to balance and passwords, I imagine that the remission process will have to be tailored a bit to the situation.

Good for ROW players. Your money will be paid back in the correct manner. Not really excited about going through DOJ for my money, and I paid my taxes. Was excited until I got to that part, here's to another few years before I see any money.

So, the DOJ made sure the ROW gets paid within 90 days, but they're going to make us wait years? Come on, use some common sense.

I'm USA.
I paid my taxes.
I know my exact account balance.
I know both my password and my pin #.

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!!!!!!

I wonder if those (US only) who had large amounts locked up on FT will now be subject to a greater chance of a tax audit due to the DOJ remission process? They will have to clear you first of certain judgments and liabilities....

Congrats to all!
