so a bunch of nothing.. even though the hedge funds wanting to put money in ft is a plus..,. but same old nothing

Interesting. So FTP is just a victim of the DOJ and thieving processors and clearly did nothing wrong of their own.

I hope that answers everyone's questions. We've all been unfairly blaming yet another victim in this whole mess: FTP.

So much fail on Full Tilt's part... just baffling.

And apparently no real prospects of recovery at this point. Other than a grand total of SIX potential investors "visiting headquarters"!!!!1!1!1

In addition, the company claims it was the victim of a massive heist in which one of its key payment processors stole $42 million from the company

Not that anyone is currently aware of, no.

If this is the actual announcement....
08-30-2011 , 09:44 PM
This is more or less what I expected. They can't really apologize or accept any responsibility because that could be used against them in litigation.

This is a Forbes story/report. Not a Full Tilt announcement.

Even though I'm in the US and won't be able to play again, thank god they will get rid of their management, according to forbes:

Quote:
Full Tilt now says that six investment groups, including hedge funds and operators of other Internet firms, have visited Full Tilt’s Dublin headquarters and that the company has hired an unnamed financial advisor to “assist us in our search for an infusion of cash as well as a new management team to restore the site and repay players.”

But the Forbes report mentioned a full page statement today. So if that's true, then the statement was released to Forbes (and maybe other press places?) BUT NOT TO THE ****ING PLAYERS THAT THEY'VE SCREWED OVER!

At the very least the players should receive the statement as well, or in conjunction with the release of the article.

If this is how they plan to release information now, by leaking statements to news agencies so we can only read the information second hand, **** that ****.

I hope it's not, and that we'll have the actual statement very soon. But Jesus, who is running their public image/press department? A drunk monkey throwing darts at a board could do a better job.

Also please FTP, don't pull a Obama and blame everyone else for your problems in this statement. Although I get the feeling based on the Forbes article, that is exactly what they are going to say.

Hold your horses, I'm sure they want and will let us read it, they probably just sent it out to news sites and are now working on releasing it optimaly to the players.

No, ftp ran a plumbing operation of 70+ merchant accounts that were illegal.
Each bank that opened that account is liable to 100,000 in fines from VISA. The accounts are seized by the bank. Each bank has a big liability in fines. Start there.
