Monday #Fight4Poker action plan:

Las Vegas Sands (Venetian/Palazzo) and its CEO, Sheldon Adelson, have significantly escalated their efforts to ban online poker & online casino gaming. Adelson has set aside tens of millions of dollars to devote to the effort and has recruited former NY Gov. George Pataki, Former AR Senator Blanche Lincoln, and Denver, CO mayor Wellington Webb to serve as spokespeople for this anti-Internet gaming coalition. Let's be sure to take action for our game today!

how have poker players not boycotted the venetian. it blows my mind that online/ex online players still play there

Give the significant increase in escalation of war by Mr. Adelson on online gambling in the U.S., I believe this issue deserves its own separate thread, which should also include other steps that perhaps should be taken, including complete boycott of all his casino properties as well as attendance in Venetian and other tournaments run by LVS.

I guess it was just bull**** a while back when it was reported he had changed his stance about online gaming

I'm reading the comments on Washington Post and it seems like even the non-poker players/gamblers clearly see his hypocrisy and true motives.

Does Adelson have no shame? Does he have a soul? This guy sets a perfect example of how greed can turn an ordinary man into monster.

It makes me wonder what he thinks of the general public's intelligence. Anyone with a half a brain would see right through his antics.

But in the end, money can influence the people that make the rules.

I think Adelson's last mission is to fight online gambling till he dies. Not sure why he's putting so much money and energy into this when he should be enjoying his last few years or months of his life.

Bottom line, we should never step into his establishments and support his cause.
