Some speculation that the group might be Partouche. This Wikipedia page is in French, but the list of their casinos is long enough to indicate that these mofos would have the dough to pull it off:

Fairly big news - good to know that the "investors" are real. Things are looking on the upside as far as receiving our balances from FTP. I'm glad to be surprised that things will probably work out for the players!
