a bad person ? or did bad things ? or just made bad choices ? a little advice from a convicted felon (cocaine conspiracy) ....have a plan , set goals , think long term but have short term goals , try not to share jail experiences , and explaining where you've been , this can be challenging but truth is nobody gives a **** , think to future dont dwell on the past . If your truly seeking forgiveness reach out to your victims to apologize , or a local priest , church , etc. If you happen to be a pedophile or rapist or a rat , i really have no sympathy for you and am sorry i offered any advice.

drug game been dead , dealing drugs these days is for suckers . when i got out back in 2004 heroin was the new get rich quick hustle , for most it how much you can make before you get busted , get robbed and possibly killed or you turn junkey . a lot of the coke connects i had were selling heroin a lot of it , i said no thanks coke was a party drug , heroin is a lifestyle a very bad and for the most part obvious . I dont think you should of went to prison for manslaughter however once they past that law you should of knew about it . Me personally could never sell the drug knowing it was very possible the person u give to could die one way or another , especially if this was a friend or family member who wanted it .
you made mistakes dont feel bad for yourself because nobody else will , if you already havent ask for forgiveness from victims family or higher power , and then move forward put this misery in your past as quickly as possible.

and dont beg for forgiveness on 2+2 , sounds like you want attention rather than forgiveness why would you want people on here to forgive you ? ask your family and victims for forgiveness , you go to church to ask for forgiveness not an internet poker forum.

That is such total BS law - and worse, stupid laws like that will go a long way in incentivizing people to NOT call the police when there's an OD; because they're afraid. **** - if someone drops and you gave them the gear and were fairly sure you'll be charged with murder - that's a pretty ****ing tempting case to just book it out of there instead of sticking around to perform CPR (which is as necessary as calling an ambulance, by the way).

i agree. it is BS. i know a guy(went to school with him) who sold cocaine to a dude, was basically in a school zone to IIRC. cocaine buyer drinks/does coke that evening and ends up killing a few kids in a car crash, driver lives, who i believe is still in jail after a decade or so. Anyway, the seller of the cocaine had to do at least 5 years minimum as well.

charge the person for selling the drug, but nothing else. If i go buy a heavy shovel from a hardware store and slam it down on my bare toe as hard as i can, making the toe fall completely off, blood everywhere, get me to the emergency room, etc. When i get the bill can I expect the hardware store to pay for it? Can I sue?

Was the seller charged with manslaughter though or did the prosecution simply get the max charges on selling because they knew they had him by the balls?

Good post about discouraging people to call the police - I think in Holland you will not be charged for calling ambulance if you possess drugs. Not sure if that covers sale though.
