I always assumed any discussion of position in NLH was in reference to post-flop position and as such have never heard of the SB and BB referenced as late position.

ESPN has such a huge generic audience, that I think this may have confused a lot of casual players. I'm surprised this wasn't caught and changed by the their poker experts in the editing process.

Also enjoyed posting a graphic showing the Yankees losing.

That and the cutoff being labeled CUT instead of CO tilted me.

I've been playing poker 14 years now and don't recall ever hearing the word hijack used in poker. Is that common a term? Raised from the Hijack?

I don't think I've ever referred to the CO as being middle position.

LOOKS LIKE THE ESPN COULD'VE HIRED THE POKER POLICE.

That LON did. I'm just saying, in general, the standard accepted description of 'late position' refers to post-flop play.

When creating a graphic that is designed to educate the audience on position, you would think they would use the commonly accepted defintion of late position which is the BTN, CO and hi-jack post-flop, not confuse the audience by defining PRE-flop position which is basically never done. Just found it very unusual.

Just like, after the flop, the first person to act bets, and the next player says that he wants to reraise. Some players and commentators have been repeating this mumbo jumbo without thinking for a while.

"The ESPN" probably decided that your consulting fee wasn't within their budget.

In my eyes the sb and bb aren't early/mid/late position. They are simply sb/bb when referring to them, at all times.

one of my friends was really adamant about something like this. he was arguing that his flop bet was a raise and i was just dumbfounded.
