Kind of a meh article about her growth as a player. Her comments in bold near the end are pretty, uh...

ESPN is mostly an American thing, so do you think it's good that comments like hers are printed at a time we're trying to make poker look as legitimate as possible?

That second comment has nothing to do with robbing Norway's youth...at least that's not how I interpreted it. She's saying that's how the media perceives her in Norway, as someone who will influence children to lose money playing poker.

Im not going 2 lie. I enjoy taking money from people who don't know what their doing. Its a lot harder to find that now adays but Knowledge is POWER so... their ill admit it

While I can't disagree with her positions, there's no particular reason to come across as harsh and insulting, which I think she does. Of course that's the way I personally often post on 2+2

but even I would choose my words a little more carefully when talking to the mainstream media (like that's ever gonna happen).

She says she would rather play Doyles but didn't she lose to Doyle heads up on NBC. Pretty dumb IMO to use doyle as her example. Doyle has survived in the poker world almost from its inception. It's not by chance. She might want to check her own ego at the door and quit making statements she doesnt have the experience to back up yet.

I did not take it to be disrespectful. She might not have as much experience as Doyle (who does?), but I think it's pretty silly to say that she can't back up her talk, when she obviously has already done so.

Yeah I dislike Anette a fair bit but she is just being honest and correct about all of her points (although she certainly could have picked a better example than Doyle)

I like her, but she's completely wrong about live pros. Internet players get sliced and diced in live cash games, routinely. In fact I disagree with DN about internet speak exactly because it's music to my ears in real poker.

She probably means "ESPN-famous live tournament players," like Hellmuth and such. About them, she's right, they suck. But they aren't cash game live pros. They aren't actually pros at much of anything except parlaying early luckboxing fame into endorsement contracts.
