Pretty funny IMO. Haralabob appeared on the BS Report podcast yesterday with Bill Simmons and Zach Lowe and he took a shot at E-Dog while discussing NBA betting. He said in 2007 when GS beat Dallas in the playoffs he told a poker player who owed him a lot of $ to bet GS, but the poker player said nah I'm gonna bet $20k on Dallas instead. GS ended up prevailing in a huge upset, of course. I assume neither Simmons nor Lowe are aware of the E-Dog story so they didn't ask questions or follow up on that, but as they continued on to the next topic Haralabob says "If you're out there E-Dog what's up?" and he laughs.

what's the status of E-dog these days? Anyone seen/heard recent stories about the dude?

Supposedly the full amount of the loan was mistakenly sent to two different places by mistake for double the intended amount.

Not sure if this is true but a number of people have mentioned the story with differing details.

I know DN has rec'd a lot of criticism for his support of Lindgren. But honestly, I don't think it's nearly enough.

Gambling can be a disease just like alcholism. It's pretty clear Erick Lindgren has this disease. Talking about him like he's some scumbag monster when he's literally an ill person is a bit short-sighted. This is some of the "dark side" that Daniel Coleman was talking about. The big winners are heaped with praise and adulation. But the losers? The losers who can't pay? Ya they're "scumbags" and pieces of sh*t when in reality they're just compulsive gamblers who have very little control over their addiction.

A just society would levy pitty on such an individual. But the poker community only offers scorn and condemnation.

I certainly don't feel any pitty for the individuals that knew Lindgren would most certainly lose in a fantasy sports bet and preyed on him anyway knowing full well he'd have trouble paying. I don't adulate that type of predatory behavior but the overall poker community seems to. That's the dark side of this game.

And alot of the people who "trusted" him were people preying on the fact that he was a crappy sports bettor and just wanted to take advantage of him. What does that say about their moral compass? What does that say when that type of predatory behavior is praised in the poker world? Maybe it's the poker world that's scummy

I was with the guy he owes money to when he confronted him in the WSOP hallway....Erik basically said "that was 2 years ago it's not valid anymore it's been too long"...and then literally started an olympic fast walk down the hallway

In one of the original posts it said that players knew full well that Erick Lindgren delayed a long time in paying. One instance a player finally got paid after 6 months and another player says "you got lucky now you'll know not to play him again. Then the player says: "oh know I'll play him again because it's free money, he's guaranteed to lose, you just have to lean on him for a while for him to pay"

The above is what I was referring to. Many players knew Erick Lindgren was dead money at fantasy sports betting and took his bets anyway knowing full well he had alot of debtors because they viewed it as "free money". Seriously, you skipped that entire part? Maybe you should read the actual thread before you call people stupid
