No, official scorer. We don't get complaints quite as often but there are certain managers who will call upstairs to contest a decision. For some reason, they tend to be the former MLB players: Ryne Sandberg (called me horse**** and threatened to have me fired), Brett Butler (never had a run-in with him but others have), Ron Hassey (very reasonable when he called) and Backman (see Butler). Tony DeFrancesco, who briefly managed the Astros, is another one.
But because I'm derailing this thread too far...
I should ask the collective something about Lindgren's Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I don't know much about bankruptcy and how it works. Does it mean his former creditors have absolutely no legal recourse to collect on their past debts (as they have been discharged)? And if not, does/will Lindgren have any incentive to pay back certain backers in an effort to build some trust later? Or does a degen like him simply not even consider these factors?
