This is just so completely out of line. She must be clueless.

This is not the first time that an FTP pro put out an insensitive tweet about the crisis. Just the ones that I can remember:

(merely because there's no record left of this that I could find, so I have to go on memory)

A few months ago, Phil Gordon (@philnolimits) tweeted something to the effect of "Nothing worse than having to sit at the airport bar and hearing the bartender tell the same joke 20 times." I guess a number of people tweeted to him that there were plenty of things worse than that (hint hint), and he insta puts out another tweet acknowledging the terrible situation with FTP. He quickly deleted both tweets.

Not sure what some of these individuals are thinking when they try to make light of what is actually a dreadfully unfunny situation. If it's going to come down to staying quiet versus trying to be funny about defrauding poker players worldwide, I would have to recommend staying quiet.

EDIT: I recognize that her tweets did not have to do explicitly with FTP, but I think the spirit of impropriety is similar.

I would not have believed it if someone had told me that I would hate Erick Lindgren more the next time I read this thread, but I was wrong.

I always thought Erick seemed like a pretty cool guy

She is about as serious about his debts as he is. I will seriously buy his debt if it's right. Pm me.

If her only source on the status and magnitude of the debt is Erick, which it likely is (and I'm sure she is highly biased to whatever he tells her if he isn't) then there is good chance she doesn't have the full picture and doesn't understand how bad it really is. Or, she doesn't really care that much anyway. She seems like an upstanding person so I would put money on the former but what do I know. Perhaps after dating two of the biggest degens in the game she's become numb to her significant other carrying huge amounts of debt and in her mind it truly is "LOL 100K."


Or she's the worst person in history at trying to manage damage control.

From somebody who has direct information of the situation, at least one person has confirmed that Erick has always paid the problem is you never know WHEN he is going to pay off which is the tradeoff for the dead money Lindgren represents in any FF league he plays in. Hes a whale when it comes to Fantasy Football but on avg he takes 6 months to pay back from what I understand. (which I assume will be longer since this year he doesnt have his monthly 6 figure stipends anymore from FTP like he's had in the past). Degens gonna Degen and you cant unfortunately expect the guy to rip out his dwindling bankroll to payback FF when he needs what he does have to keep his BR alive and breathing to play decent enough stakes if he did that it would be complete financial suicide. The guys who've played Lindgren in the past know hes good for the money EVENTUALLY (the only concern to me is that the FTP freerolling cash is gone and could very well severely complicate his cashflow to pay back people). Not saying the guy is busto but with his freeride from FTP over this maybe his last year in Fantasy unless and until he has some regular income again from somewhere.

Hubris- that's the tragic flaw to your gambling heroes and apparently it extends to their hooker wives. My God I am glad that none of these FT people owe me money through FT or personally. If they did I would probably be on a irreversible course of action that landed me in prison most likely.

After reading this tweet is really the first time I felt truly sorry for the folks who had money on FT. On a logical level I still think it was dumb or maybe just naive to have ever trusted that company, but I can't deny I feel for you guys who have had your money stolen and then have suffered insults such as this.
