Yea, I'm not necessarily saying that one implies the other - but if he did kill a bookie to dodge a debt it'd make me question whether he has any conscience at all.

I've known a degen from childhood and saw how he became what he is. He started off with a sense of integrity, but he crossed certain lines so many times in those moments of desperation that I think he must have become numb to the prospect of walking on debts. I definitely don't trust him, but I don't think he's malicious and I do get the impression that he has genuine empathy. Although to be fair, he was a lot younger than eric when it all went down and he's at least trying to change his life.

So can someone clarify what happens once the youve got a tax lein on yourself from the IRS?

I assume the IRS investigated him, determined he owed money, but is the lein a court order that says yeah lindgren owes xx. Does lindgren have any recourse to reduce the lein once the IRS determines it? What happens if lindgren can't pay it and his networth is under the lein? Does he go to jail?

Whatever DN posts, it can be summarized by simply posting this.

So is Eric the worst sports bettor of all time? To have 3 mil in tax liability means he had to have made 10 mil or a really bad accountant. Perhaps he used the same accountants as FT?

There are lots of non-psychopaths who are capable of screwing people over and be perfectly fine with not paying debt. The regular will be more avoiding, apologetic and insist they'll pay (while they secretly hope you forget and that you won't ask again, rinse repeat) while as far as the P is concerned, he doesn't owe you money, in his head you gave it to him or he deserved it more than you, or thinks you were stupid to borrow it therefore deserve to not get it back and genuinely doesn't care - or turn it around saying you're bad for pressuring them about it, make up a story about how someone owes them a **** ton but hasn't paid yet, say "If you were in my spot, I would be more patient and supportive of you as my friend..it's only money" etc.

He could be a very smart P (started to prefer socio actually, even psychopath is correct, since most people confuse it with psychosis, serial killers with delusions and sadists) - but I don't see it very likely with the limited info we have

That's a really good point. His original unpaid tax liability could easily be half the $3 million figure represented itt. Late fees, penalties, fines etc. all start adding up fairly quickly.

Can someone find out Ivey's, CF's, HL's, the other FTP 'pros'? my guess is that these guys getting zillions from an illegal operation could not declare this income. the IRS is going to crucify these guys. karma is catching up slowly but surely
