Re: Doyle Brunson Leaves DoylesRoom.com

I like how the current management "believe they have the right to market the name Doylesroom and to use my name and likeness for a period of time" even though Doyle has said he has requested them not to.

It would be surprising to me if this wasn't entirely hammered out in the contract during the creation of the site, since the only value this site had was the endorsement and name value of Doyle Brunson himself. Without him, the site is just another skin on one of any number of poker networks.

I second the vote for room.com as the new name.

Re: Doyle Brunson Leaves DoylesRoom.com

Doyle's out, I'm out. He's the consummate gambler, but this one is -EV to him. That tells you a lot about the potential consequences of online until the Fed gov gets its act together and regulates.

What happens to his handpicked group of young players? No buyins for them at this year's wsop. Todd & Pam out, too?

We will findout tomorrow and Sunday, if any one is still backing them at the WPT in LV.

RIP Doylesroom.

So he endorses the site on facebook, then he leaves?

From his facebook page:

I love the new software, it’s the perfect card room and I’m excited to return to play and meet folks from all over the world who love playing cards

Sometimes these FB messages and tweets are handled by different people who are not fully aware of real-time events... Although Doyle certainly knew in advance that he was going to leave Doylesroom...

If Doyle is giving advice on mixed games, you should scoot closer and listen in.

If Doyle is giving business advice, run. Run fast, run far, and run in the opposite direction.

Don't think that page is his, since his own son isn't his friend on it but he is on another "Doyle Brunson" page pretty sure Todd would know the correct one.
Think that one was setup by Doylesroom.

This. Have read his biography, some hilarious stuff in there. Just to be clear, I really like him as a player and a person... and love the book, too.
