Hey Doug I was watching a couple oldish videos about the Dnegs 'challenge' and it brought up something I wanted to question you about.
They showed a tweet you wrote to Dnegs which read - "if you think you can just log into pokerstars and win at the highest stakes, thats insulting"... Or something along those lines.
Now i get how you think it's insulting to downplay the work it takes to get to that level, but for you to say someone cant jump in and win money seems so wrong. A monkey clicking buttons could have a few winning sessions and stack the best players in the world. This is partly the reason I love poker, cos i know i'll never be as good as the best but i can still win.

But w/e, dont wanna get too deep and deconstruct things you said in the 'heat of the moment' but would like to hear your response.

Secondly, if youre gonna read/reply to this thought i'd ask you something else...

You say you reached a point in your career where no one would play you HU. I'm wondering why you didn't decide to transition onto HU sit n gos, where there's always regs opening lobbies, unable to avoid playing you.

great content lately. as a super minor gripe/suggestion i've noticed a handful of times in recent interview type videos that you're looking away or focused on what i'm assuming is a side monitor with topics and questions. i'm sure getting a little more seamless with that comes with experience but if i'm noticing it half paying attention i'm sure the interviewee is as well sometimes.

But this newest video I assume is a response to Bill Perkins on Joeys podcast? I feel like Doug missed the point and just rushed to make a video for his audience who may not know about the podcast. I don't think Bill was arguing that outting scammers is a bad thing. And I don't think people get upset when someone makes a scam thread when they are directly involved. I think his argument was that you shouldn't blast someone's name when you don't have first hand knowledge of the situation or when it doesn't directly involve you.

Sure Doug wants to be ethically correct and help the community. But is a titled video
"Has Tom Dwan SCAMMED Again?! New 7-Figure Scandal!" do that? Seems like its just easy content/ clickbait to use for views/growth.

I remember when watching that yesterday and just thinking "think of what that says about this guy. Combining his twitter rage, with his insecurity about his hair, then actually getting a hair transplant, and then reporting people who are rude to him on YT. You're worth millions of dollars. Grow the **** up.". Guaranteed he reads this thread and wishes he could do anything about the comments. A sad little man he is.

Also, if he's making YT videos he's probably doing it to hopefully create a new revenue stream. Don't comments and likes on a video give it more exposure in the YT system? You don't want to be banning everyone. I'm sure a lot of the comments are bad. So what.

Hi Everyone:

I think there needs to be a balance here. On the one hand, you don't want to smear someone who has done nothing wrong. On the other hand, when something bad is done, it's my opinion that it should come out, and this is important for the long term good of the community. So it's probably fair to say that Doug's position and mine are very close.

I saw the video clip. Heard the DNegs soundbite. Read the few comments on the screen. Still don't get it. What did DNegs do? If it had to do with a comment by the "Make Canada Great" guy, that seemed harmless.

It can be touchy subject to moderate your own YT comments since some people do it in a sketchy way (deleting negative reviews, deleting valid points of criticism,...). For that reason a lot of YTers disable comments, or do not moderate at all and let the community do it. I don't follow DN's channel so maybe I am missing something here but it looks like DN was just dealing with trolls. If that's the case, there's nothing wrong with it & people are just overreacting.

Legit LOL'd at the "have you considered calling this hand bRAKEdowns?" though.
