Last year i was at EPT Prague, playing cash games, equivalent to about 4-8 usd. A new player joined the table and i recognised Dario. He bought in for 100bbs, slowly bled chips, never reloading, got stacked and quit visibly upset after playing for about 1.5 hours. This was extremely sad to watch..

2. Doug can for sure crush mid stakes on Stars.
3. When Doug started upswing he wasn't getting action in the game in which he's an expert.

I'm a Doug fan; I really think poker content is pretty good right now, and he's one of the major reasons for that. With that being said, he obviously talks a lotttttt of ****. But that's mainly marketing/self promotion. Doug knows how to create hype for himself and poker.

It was pretty funny on Papi's podcast when Luke started doing the impression of Doug after he lost the hand to Torelli. It seemed like Doug was embarrassed that Alec outplayed him. I'm not too big on Luke, but he was pretty damn funny.

Has anyone actually signed up to that con?

I'm pretty suspicious of how upswing displays their reviews. They've literally cherry picked any positive words said about them (mainly from social media) and placed that on their 'testimonial' page.

This is quite deceiving as you're only seeing what they want us to see, and clearly hiding the negative reviews that I know they have (Reddit is full of criticisms of 'the lab').

You can only take these testimonials with a pinch of salt.

If they want to stop deceiving people then they need to open up reviews on 3rd party services like trust pilot. But I doubt this will ever happen

Let's set a few things straight.

Back when I was grinding poker as my primary focus, I told Luke I would play him hu 8 game all day (I even tweeted it at him) and he talked a bunch of **** and then refused to play. Not in HUNL, but in HU 8 game, his game. IDK if it was because he was broke at the time or just didn't think he had an edge, but that was like 1.5-2 years ago and he's pretending it didn't happen.

This guy is a proven loser at high stakes (check hsdb) trying to step in and say bad things about both my game, and the value my company offers. Those things are both completely false.

With regards to my game, I was without question on of the HUNL world from late 2013 to early 2016. He can talk all the **** he wants, virtually no one would even play me in that game type. Over that time I had to take students on to be able to have my strategy in action, and some of those players became top HUNL players as well.

One of the main reasons I moved into coaching was that I had no opponents. It's hard to be raking in gobs of money in a game I can't play, and I was looking forward to starting something new.

Upswing Poker is an outstanding resource for new to smaller stakes players, and we are stepping into mid to high stakes training this year. I am proud of what we have created, and anyone in the Upswing lab can attest to the fact Upswing teaches in a fundamentally different way than other sites (course vs video library.)

The HUNL mastery course took me a couple months, and I teach the strategy that made me the best player in the world. You can think that in the last year I am not as strong as in that time, but thinking i could not put together a high end course in the field of HUNL is downright laughable.

Luke talks a huge game. And now that I've got my hands full doing other things hes down to play, wow what a coincidence. What people don't realize is that I am full time trying to grow and promote my brand, and that means you can't just throw everything to the side to play someone hu for the rest of your life, you have to pick your battles.

Finally that brings me to my last point, you do have to pick your battles. Tons of people have talked **** to/about me over the years and you have to decide where you have to step in. Luke is trying to piggyback off me to get some attention because he doesn't have a platform to have his own voice (he had to go on Joeys pod) and because he isn't relevant in poker.

The main things that are important to me at the end of the day, are that I have had a successful career in poker, with visible/verifiable results, and also that people know that Upswing Poker is a great place to learn how to play poker.

This is simply not true. Way more than "<1%" already are winning players, and there will be people that become winning players from Upswing.

I think you are referencing a joke response where I said "Dan Polk is above responding to that", which was mocking myself because within the video I respond. The comment is still there.

It's a business review page... Also fwiw, I have not had a single complaint yet on the course. You always expect there to be some small amount of upset people with anything you do, but I have gotten great feedback.
