Let's see if I learned anything from Doug:

Peters does have full houses/quads, so 7 value combos there. I don't think he ever raises the nut flush for value when the BB has so many full houses, but what do I know. I can't even beat play money, lol.
So let's say Peters has some 10-12 value combos (he might open raise some T8s etc).

So he can bluff something between 5-6 combos for that size. The 2 remaining A8s are great candidates for the reasons on the video, and if he ever has A8o the 2 with the Ah are also great options.

So even if he has only full or better for value the Ad8d bluff is fine. From Drinan perspective he has to call around 40% not be run over so... Assuming he leads anything equal or better than a str8 and has every possible full house but 77:
The hands better than Kh9h correspond to around 40.5% of his betting range. So K9hh is kind of exactly the division between folding and calling, lol.

Great hand.

Disclaimer: I suck and did this using windows calc. Errors both on logic and execution are EXPECTED!

Latest video looks like a lazy attempt to abuse youtube algorithm which promotes channels with daily content but the line at the end made it all worth it.

The way it was played, bet you most of the guys at that table (if playing with their own money) make that fold.

I don't think anyone is making that fold, but what do I know.

Don't think it was a lazy attempt at all. Everything in that episode was selected fairly carefully to try to ensure it would be a popular video. I take my job seriously!

Not much I can do, have to strike the balance betwee spoilers and bringing people in. (In general its better to bring people in, the hand happened 8 years ago or whatever).

Just watched the strat video, great video Doug, very informative! in the example you used, betting the full size of the pot on the river, how do you know how much of your range you should be betting both for value and as a bluff? ie how do you decide if you are going to valuebet 20% and bluff 10% or valuebet 40% and bluff 20% of your hands? and do you start with value bets and then add in bluffs until you get to the correct ratio or do you start with bluffs and then add in value bets?

I didn’t really mean anything bad by it. Don’t think there is anything wrong with the video, it’s just that I, personally, find it less interesting. The production value was there but that the hand has played itself and even you didn’t have that much to add, so the main appeal was the pot size. Though it’s a memorable hand for sure.

lol Doug, you make good stuff, but you also seem to lose focus sometimes.
While you make fun of those commentators (who was the one with the deep voice? he was absolutely annoying to me) you say "hihahah...and that fith heart would give him a hand that actually beats Berkeys holding ..."
While you mean "beats Mercier's holding"
Are you so self-confident that you never review your videos before uploading?
Same as you loaded up that hand of Ivey with, i think Q7, where you wondered wtf he was doing while people in the comments figured out that the 7 in Iveys Hand was also shown in someone else's Hand and there must have been a mistake with the cards shown and Ivey must have had QJ or similar and all of a sudden everything makes sense.
But, your are obv intelligent and also well spoken compared to other Poker Youtubers, so I wonder even more how you can make those mistakes.

I want to issue an apology to all of my fans, they deserve an explanation for what has happened here and I am going to accept the responsibility for my failure. Sometimes someone has to hit you right in the feels for you to understand your mistake. That is what has happened here.

I also wonder how I could even make those mistakes. I made almost 200 youtube videos in the last 6-7 months, and well, maybe I just got too cocky.

Thanks for the feedback. It is strange how something this severe could have happened on my channel, and from this day forward we will never see a mistake of this magnitude again. I hope you guys can find it in your hearts to forgive me.

Is this the best red-line in poker history ( I know it's HU, but still)? I haven't seen a better one myself. Seems like WCG has been making a deliberate effort lately to show his success and why he is qualified to do what he does. And it is absolutely warranted, there are still people who question how good he is.
