100-200 at bellagio, doug busts 2 from the blind, he announces he is 2000 behind, but does not put any cash on the table. I elect not to say anything unless he actually plays his utg hand. He ends up folding, and then leaves $1 on the table and says he will be back. Because he's such a fish the seat remained locked up for 3+ hours, he never returned. I'm certain he did not have the 2000 on him...

I think I know where he went with that $2000

His photo album really pisses me off because on my trip to australia I also went to crowne, the australian open, joe hachem's house, bondi, boat ride through sydney harbor, etc

Last year around this time I played some poker in Calgary (where Doug Lee is from) during the Stampede. The biggest game going was 30/60 limit and some old guy sarcastically said something about "paying Doug Lee for lessons..." and the whole table cracks up. They go on to make some snide remarks about how "good" he is and how he crushes on his home court and how he's the greatest player in the world!

From the feeling I got, these regs bashing Doug Lee like this was a nightly routine so yeah he's not liked in Canada either imo.

The turn fell the , and his opponent bet out 3,000. Lee then raised to 7,000 total and said, "How do you like that for your flush draw?" Lee's opponent then went into the tank and thought for several minutes. Finally, Lee called the clock on his opponent. After the floor came over, Lee's opponent made the call.

The river fell the and both players checked.

Lee showed for the nut straight. His opponent showed for a set. After the hand, Lee moved up to 31,100 chips.

Doug Lee Chipping Up Early
After taking a pot with a straight a little earlier, Lee followed that up a couple of hands later when he hit a six high flush against and opponents wheel to take down a 15,000 chip pot.

Lee has been playing fast early on, raising and reraising a lot of pot. He has held aces twice and kings once so far.

At this point, Lee has 45,400 in chips.
