Flipping through channels, I just stumbled across the latest installment of the Heartland Poker Tour from the Commerce Casino. Starting the final table, Doug Lee is the chip leader.
Best moment: Doug opens in early position with pocket aces. Folds around to a short stacked recreational player who got in on a satellite who jams with 55. Action back to Doug who grabs a large stack of chips and theatrically slams them to the felt to make the call. He then nervously waits for his opponent to turn over her hand. Fist pump when he sees that he's ahead.
Hard to tell, but it also appears that he is wearing the Circuit ring.
That ivy photo has great photo shop potential for Doug's alter ego. The Green Toolbox (Lantern). Well, any GL photo will do as along as the arm positioning is the same.
Was walking between Bally's and Paris and saw Doug. I was drunk and yelled "well if it isn't Doug Lee...." he turned around and I continued "..the biggest toolbox ever" He didn't seem amused....on top of that I had to spend 5 minutes explaining this thread to my friend who doesn't play poker or know what 2+2 is. I feel like I would approach the situation differently if given a 2nd chance and ask to take a picture with him before calling him a toolbox.
