Re: Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever?
Yeah smells like complete fabrication.
Jon when it got down to the showdown, since You called his all in, Doug would've had to show his cards first.
I call bs.

Can't believe this thread is still going after all this time..but from one Calgarian to the world. We are ashamed of him and he does NOT represent us. Unless there is a "most hated poker player" contest. Then, he's our man.

Re: Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever?
That story defo fake imo. I play micro stakes cash and know that to limp with AA with one limper already in is a terrible play, and then to shove over the top is even more terrible. A 10/20 reg would never play like that.

Re: Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever?
with aces, "good" players know that you either win a small pot with aces or lose a huge one. with aces on the button any 10/20 reg would raise to about 65-100ish, to def push out the blinds and limpers.
so, after the flop there is say 150 in the pot and he bets what? 150? with 300 in the pot you "repop" to 1k? than he says all-in? being a good player that you claim to be you have the stone-cold nuts, why would you do anything to make the other player fold by raising 3.5x pot size, virtually giving the other player ZERO pot odds, and the only ONE hand that will call you in that situation is pocket kings(for a full house kings full of aces) and this is the story your telling us? pre flop majority of the money didnt get in?
since he just sat down, why dont you tell us what the min and max buy-in is for a nlhe at the bellagio and just for quick reference throw out a couple names that were there playing, like your "buddy" to your left.. i dont play 10-20, just a little bit higher, but i played 1/2, 2/5, 5/10, 10-20 and now im at my current level. so, im sure i know a guy here and there, so tell me, tell me who was at the table with you, who were these regs you speak of? silly donkey?
keep on trucking liar :-)

actually, this is incorrect. cash games no player has to show their hand especially if one is all-in, they can wait till the board is ran out and than someone flips their cards over, he he called and flipped over quad aces, than he could of very well mucked and the winner goes to the player who has cards in front of them.
just like in a reg non all in pot. after the river betting is done some one calls out their hand and the othe rplayer mucks. well it doesnt matter the other player won automatically. thats why kiddies, you ALWAYS have to show your hand, NEVER muck with out seeing both hands(yours and opponents)

I think I'm going to make a shirt with a screencap of this thread title (with the 5*'s and everything else) right in the middle.

Re: Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever?
Okay, okay we all know the story is complete BS. Lets not forget why we all come to this thread in that Doug Lee is in fact a giant toolbox.
Lets resume our conversation around Doug and not this other toolbox who made this story up.
