I met this guy 2 years ago, he is making a living in 1/2 game mostly in the Venitian for a long time I think.

Yup, played with him in November.

He says he makes $100K/yr playing 1/2 NL, was kinda drunk, quit about +$300, was quite friendly.

unless he plays 100 hours a week I doubt he make 30k a year playing live 1/2

Ha I actually lived with this guy for two months during the series two years ago. Great, generous guy. Bets as much on sports as he does on poker. Ultra conservative player. Has dirt on everybody. Pretty hilarious hearing him tell stories about the old days.

Yeah pretty agree with that, from what I have seen from him, he seemed very tight, and I often saw him winning small amounts like 40$, so LOL at 100K/year.

And he told me one day that he could read people better than Negreanu.... Very funny

Yeah me too I lived with him for 2 months, that's true he is very cool guy and he bets on dogs and horses a lot !!! But I think He is definately lying on his poker skills.

You obviously underestimate the amount tourists in vegas bluff into the nuts

If he grinds 15 hrs a day I can see it. I mean what else is there to do in Vegas, its the desert and hes old.

Assume inflated numbers: 2.5BB/100 ($5) , 30hands/hr:

100k*100/5*1/30 which seems that it would take ~66666.67 hours. And that's assuming he had a faster dealer and ran hot.
