College was awesome as it was. Imagine having 7 figures to your name while you were/are there.

Poker will always be here to one degree or another.
Being married while in college and being rich is less fun though.

I remember when Shannon Shorr quit poker to go back to school. That one didn't last very long.

Are you even allowed to do that in America? School is for 11-18 year olds.

He should go to university IMO.

Yes this is a level, but why the hell have American's changed university to college and now they call it school. Like WTF.

[ ] Uni = school.

LOL no. I would take Raptor much more seriously than 99% of my contemporaries with some stupid degree. Raptor's poker knowledge is the equivalent of a Ph.D.; just because it isn't inscribed on some stupid paper with calligraphy doesn't make it less valid.

And Jesus there are alot of braindead morons in this thread. RAPTOR IS A MILLIONAIRE AND HE ISNT GOING BACK TO COLLEGE TO FIND A JOB, SO NO ONE CARES WHAT WORKING 40-50 HOURS A WEEK FOR $1K IS LIKE.

So Durrr ditches this clown to hang out with actual good players and now he's "quitting" poker and expects people to care about it?

LOL...

Ugh... I'm all for respecting poker players but when people resort to diminishing the intelligence of "ivy league college students" (reference to http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...&postcount=125) and Ph.D.'s just to do so, it makes me want to barf knowing there are such stupid/ignorant/delusional people like you out there. Poker players seriously need to get out more and lose this elitist complex. Stop looking down on other (regular) people for not being able to make 6-7 figures sitting at their computers and just working normal 9 to 5 jobs.

Please... poker knowledge and Ph.D.'s... lmao. Let's not start comparing Doyle Brunson's Super System to Newton's Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica while we're at it...

Much respect to raptor though, sorry for derailing.

WTH at all the lack of respect for David in this thread?

Goodluck to him, made exceptionally good videos and has contributed well.

The level of morons displayed in this thread is mind-boggling. Not everything in life that has meanings require a dollar sign next to it. Raptor probably achieved a sense of happiness (or at least have an idea of what he needs to do to find happiness) and is taking steps toward that goal. That's a lot more that what many can say about their situations.

If he's after knowledge why the hell doesn't he just read books on his own. College is for people who need a diploma and need a job. Most of college is dumbed down to make it passable for the 90% of unmotivated students that don't give a rat's ass about "knowledge."

Honestly, going to college to acquire knowledge is paying 40k a year to read books you can get for the price of a library card (sorry for the goodwilhunting reference).

Ugh, you guys are so naive....or maybe so stupid you didn't find college to be a cakewalk.

Granted, I didn't go to U of Chicago or MIT or someplace that has hellishly rigorous academics, but I also didn't go to some community college. Raptor isn't going to MIT either.

Do you have any actual point to dispute what I've said or are you just going to make claims about me not getting laid in college?

Fluck, clearly you didn't go to a "hellishly rigorous" college, hence you don't understand the point, and probably never will.

No, you don't understand the point. Raptor is NOT going to said "hellishly rigorous" college. We aren't talking about you and whatever college you went to.
