It seems that DN can never get any respect from a lot of you guys in this forum. What would he have to do to gain that respect ?

Mostly people are making fun of DN because his style is outclassed by the hyperlag style of today I guess
But from what I've seen he takes it very well and is one of the only 'live pros' who are looking to learn from the new school players

i think he's better than most people give credit, mostly due to his poor performances on HSP.

i dont think its possible to win 4 wsop bracelets and 2 wpt titles without having a very well crafted game. having said that, i think its clear that he's a better at tournies than cash games.

I've a lot of respect for DN and I know a lot of others here do too. The only people really hating on him are NL2 playing NVGtards who really haven't a clue what they're talking about.

He's certainly one of the best "ambassadors" for poker that we have also. He seemed to change for quite a while after his mum passed away, naturally enough imo, but seems to be bouncing back. I think you'll find most/all on 2p2 were quite supportive of DN when he was going through that at the time.

Would deff respect him more if he reimbursed me the $10k I have lost in poker due to over valuing suited connectors....

but apart from that...DN should be cool in most peoples book I think...

I respect Daniel for being the only live pro that I know of that works ridic hard on improving has game. Most are stubborn and do not change their style of play as time goes on i.e. Hellmuth.

DN not only realizes that his play is outdated, but he does something about it by making friends w/ guys such as kingofcards and talks about improvements he needs to make in his game. DN is one of the only live pros I know of that believes that online kids are better than live pros at NLHE and I'm sure it takes a lot for someone w. 12m in earnings to admit that a 21 year old is better than him at a game he's been making a living at for a long time.

DN is also a great ambassador for the game of poker. For all of these reasons DN has my respect.

This isn't necessarily true. Hellmuth has talked about feeling passed by the game and trying a super laggy style for a year or so, which cost him a ton of money. Then he went back to playing super nitty again.

So he's willing to change his style, just in one absolute direction or another

I got much respect for DN. I think a lot of people do, it's just the internet is full of haters and haters gonna hate.
